We recently brought our feral cat because we suspected a massive eye infection and dental infection. About an hour later, Dr. Kolbert called to inform us that it appears Mama had a massive tumor and there was extensive damage to her gums and jaw, as well as the eye. I asked if he would wait for us to travel back from Queens so we could be with her when she was put down - Mama was our feral for over 12 years and a part of our family. He kindly waited and explained everything to my husband and me when we arrived. His staff was very kind and offered condolences. I am happy that I took Mama to a place that did not treat her like a feral that didn't matter. She did matter, and I appreciated that. Also, Dr. Kolbert could've done all the procedures and charged us before telling us of her grave condition. I find him to be very honest, and we will return to Glen Cove Animal Clinic.Picture: Mama with her kitten in 2011 who became our indoor cat and passed away just weeks before his mom.

Dr. Christina Singh was very professional and helpful thru my puppy’s procedure. She treated my puppy as if it was her owns and made me feel safe and at ease with my puppy in her care.

I got my dog neutered here. They called right before he got surgery and right after, which I really appreciate the updates. Everyone was so professional and kind. Great price, great and kind staff. Thank you all so much for caring for my puppy!

Medically it was a 4 star experience, my dog was neutered here today. The doctor definitely did his job in terms of a clean procedure and the veterinary assistant tech (tall skinny girl with some tattoos) was definitely the nicest person in that establishment.HOWEVER, TWO MAJOR REASONS WHY I COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO SOMEONE.Firstly and most importantly the doctor allows his two personal dogs to free roam the animal clinic. Their names are ROO and Boomer. Roo is an aggressive/reactive. Roo straight up growled and showed me teeth. While I was sitting in my chair waiting to be checked in. I DO NOT understand why this dog is even allowed in the establishment when the staff full well knows that this dog has issues. I had to speak up and ask for them to do something to get this dog out of my space. The receptionist informed me that he is aggressive from behind the counter nonchalantly after I was getting growled at and shown teeth. This brings me to my second issue, the receptionist. The receptionist attitude is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. When I initially called she would not give me the time of day whatsoever as if she was trying to pass the buck on me. Post operation. I had some questions regarding what to do about if my dog doesn't fit in his crate with the cone on and so on and so forth. In which her answer was" I don't know what to tell you. Following that when reviewing my post-op paperwork and neutering certificate, she left out missing information such as his rabies tag number and his breed which is required for me to send to the breeder for proof of procedure. She had to redo this paperwork three times with me. Pretty much directly on top of it to get the job done properly.Once again, I cannot recommend this place to anybody else. Pay a little bit more money than what they charge for. A better bedside experience and to not be around dogs that are aggressive and free roaming clinic. It is a big risk for these dogs to be there around roo and it is such a shame that the receptionist has such a terrible sense of " professionalism ". If I had a time machine and could do it the procedure somewhere else I would 100% would. What a shame

If I could give zero stars, I would. I waited a year to write this review to calm down after what they did, but I can't. I brought in an abandoned kitten who had three legs. The first vet told me to wait two months for his surgery. I came here to wrap his leg since he was walking on his bone; he was very mobile. The doctor picked him up and looked at him without being careful. He told me he was ready for surgery in two days. I told him no that he wasn't prepared and too young. He was just a couple of weeks old, and his eyes still weren't open. WITHOUT WEIGHING him, he gave him medication. Within 24 hours, he died. I woke up to his poor little dead body. He had me pay for a big bottle of medicine that was $80, and he would only need two little syringes. They never took the blame or apologized. After the medication, he wasn't mobile and slept a lot, which was unlike him. The doctor didnt care and said it must've been something else. They charged me for a check-up, but he only picked him up like a doll. He didnt even WIGHT HIM. I work with guests all day, bringing this situation up so people never go here. This still breaks my heart to pieces. Animals do so well with only three legs, and this kitten was so happy and always climbed all over me. I saved his life just for this place to kill him. DISGUSTINGGG.

Came from Brooklyn to get our German shepherd mix spayed. They did such a great job with her, we have no complaints at all. The front desk lady is my hero- she seemed to be on top of everything despite it clearly being a busy clinic and she still managed to give us as much attention as we needed. She even gave some advice about how her dog behaved when she got her dog done, which we really appreciated. Thank you so much to all of you at Glen Cove Animal Clinic for providing an affordable option for quality care.

Very happy with the service, it went as promised, thank God the wait wasn't long, place although small was very clean, didn't have any bad smells. The staff was very professional and got a phone call early the next morning to check on my pet status which was a nice touch. I definately will be using them again and will recommend to family & friend.

The cat is healthy and happy after the surgery. I appreciate the service. But the communication with the front desk and the staff was very confusing and created anxiety on me.Pro-price is cheaper. Easy to make appointments. The surgery was successful and cat remains active after surgery. I really appreciate it.Con-the location is very inconvenient. Front desk was very impatient, provided wrong price of procedure, did not help to make necessary notes on the paper to indicate the requested procedures which created confusion later, and threatened that the cat would stay by herself for two days if I did not come to pick-up on time. The staff was not cleared about the Felv procedure. I requested Felv on the paper and told the front desk about it. After spayed, one staff over the phone told me Felv was not done since the paper was confusing but the cat can come back in two months to do it. When I called again, the other staff told me it was too late to do the test since they trashed the blood and blamed that I told them not to do it. However, I was not told this test needs blood draw and I did not know blood draw was done already during the earlier call. The most confusing and stressful part was the blood draw on the cat. I worried the cat had blood draw done while she was awake. I did not know when the first blood draw was done, when the blood was trashed, and how painful it was to the cat during the second blood draw. But, I make peace with myself since the cat is healthy and active after she returned home.

Very caring vet along with his wife who assists in the practice. They also have a strong pulse on the community and care so much. Highly recommend.
