Best gym in Long Island! Best staff I have ever seen in a gym! Love this place. Been going here for years now. Love the kid Nick when he stops in cause he is as school. What a beast that kid is!!

Gyms got no business charging $90/month. Very cluttered and it gets so packed you'll never get on anything. Bev Francis Powerhouse is the same price and is 15 minutes away from Training Station, way better gym for the same price (no bullshit yearly maintenance fee or enrollment fee either). Was let down when I went here.

I’ve been working out at various gyms for about 16 years (Gold’s, powerhouse, NYSC, etc.) and I’ve never once had a serious issue with a staff member. Today at training station the manager approached my girlfriend and I and said we had bad gym etiquette because we sit at the machine for 45 seconds while resting in between sets. When I informed him that that’s normal and I will continue to rest in between sets, he said that we don’t understand gym etiquette and threatened to cancel our membership, which we did since this place needs new management. The gym is also overpriced for what it is, not well maintained and clearly on the decline. Avoid this place at all costs.

Very friendly staff! But this place every time I visit is dirtier than before! I like to workout later on the afternoon because it’s not so packed but and there is no anymore clean towels! The toilet most of the time smells horrible and is dirty! Hope one of the managers read it and fix the situation cause for the money we pay doesn’t worth it!

Nice gym and equipment. But for 80$ a month is ludicrous. For somebody that that doesn’t take classes and only needs a gym to lift weights in that is far too expensive especially for only one gym. Change to 40$ a month and it might be worth it.

The staff is very nice and the members are friendly. It used to be a-lot cleaner the equipment is dirty which is a surprise with all the covid stuff. I would not join and was glad I did just 1 month ($185) regular monthly is $85 if you want to do the yr commitment not worth the money IMO

I've been going to training station for years. For about 4 years not inculding the pandemic. I've always appreciated the quite space with grown professionals in the midday and over all a calming space. I usually mind my own business and work out and leave. Soon after the pandemic, there started renovations to the gym. Really no warning that I know of but it was loud sometimes. Also there was a few new faces at the front desk. Like I said, I stick to myself so no need to communicate much with the front desk but one day a new employee, my first time seeing him there. Walks by me on the stair master , stops , then ask me if I have a membership there. I was confused by this question. There was other ppl around working out and I only saw him ask me. I said yes and he asked for my name, I told him and he left and went back to the desk. I thought about what just happened and looked around. I get off the machine and went to the desk. I said to the employee that was not ok what you just did. You singled me out to ask me if I go to the gym here and I didn't see you ask anyone else here the same thing, that's not ok. (By the way. I'm a black woman). He said sorry I didn't mean anything by it I'm new here so I'm just going around introducing myself making sure I know everyone. I said but I didn't see you do that with anyone else that does not look good. He said he's sorry he didn't mean anything by it. So I let it be. I few weeks later I put my membership on pause for a few reasons. Too many kids where starting to come there was still renovations and I wanted to try something new. I was told it would cause $15 month to pause but the owner was there the day I actually pause it. She took out the paper work and told me it would be $25 a month to pause. I told her I was told different. She said that's the new price while crossing out $15 on the form and writing in $25. :/ I came back 2 months later to see if I wanted to restart. The renovations were done, the gyms was painted black and green with more lots of new clients and lots of kids .. it just wasn't my vibe and I canceled. I looked for a gym for a while but couldn't find one. So I came back after 4 months. I Was reinstated by a long time employee that knows me. The next day I came for my morning work out and swipe my card. It didn't work. The person at the desk was the employee that a year again ask if I go there. I walked passed him and he teaks excuse me your card didn't work. So I walked over to him. I said can I speak to someone else. He said he can help me I said I don't want to talk to him can I speak to someone else here. He said I'm it. I said i don't want to speak to you . He said why? I said you're racist. He said no I'm not I was doing my job when I asked you if you were a member. I'm not racist don't call me that while getting in my face with his finger. I said oh you remember so you know. I said I would like to speak to someone else. He said no so I walked away. He said I'll call the police. I said that's why you are racist. And I went for my work out. I saw him again while I was working out. He was cleaning then he he started with me again so I said that's it. And started calling for a manager. I saw the guy that reinstated me and told him about what has happened. I did not tell him about his employee trying to call the police on me instead of just calling the manager. He walks with me to the front desk and apologized for the man at the desk. (The man at the desk by the way is Hispanic) he says to the manager she called me racist and I'm a immigrant to this country. So I said you're racist to black ppl. The manager says ok lets get her a new card and apologized to me again. I never told the manager that this employee tried to call the police on me. But I'm saying it here because I want them to take note of the people they hire. And the reviews they can receive bc of their actions that they brush of and say they were just doi

While many reviews talk about the masses of teen guys in here, I had no problem with younger kids trying to work on their health and find a passion for training. It's a public gym. Get over it and focus on the good stuff. The staff is great. They were super welcoming and helped me get a week pass with ease. The new leg machines are phenomenal. The leg press, hack squat, pendulum press, leg extension, standing AND donkey calf raise machines are all such great additions to the variety of machines. The only thing I disliked was the lack of plate organization. There were plates left on machines, the floor, and barbells. While this is partly a responsibility of the gym members, I feel like a few weight racks or plate stems would help make for a more organized environment. I will 100% be returning next time I'm in the area.

I see a lot of reviews about lot of kids being in the gym. But they are respectful never had any problems. I do see the staff reprimanded them from time to time for acting stupid sometimes. The gym has been adding new equipment and renovations has been on going.Bathrooms totally need to be renovated!!!Overall it’s a good gym and I recommend it

HORRIBLE. This place has gone down hill tremendously.. it has essentially turned into a childrens playground. There are kids working out here that are so young it doesn’t seem legal (how are 10 year olds using equipment not a liability??) this place is SWARMED with rude and inconsiderate high school kids that leave this gym a mess on a daily basis. It’s clear why they’re losing members left and right. You also know it’s bad when they have signs posted around the gym that if you take your shirt off your membership will be canceled. You’re better off joining planet fitness.

Overpriced for what they offer . Too many kids slamming weights and not putting weights back . The air conditioner doesn’t feel like it’s working in the back where the free weights are .
