I was with Sefcu for 15+ years and I'm closing my account at Broadview. What a disaster of a financial institution. Please do not put your money here. The warmth and familarity of the workers that used to be here? Gone. Everything is stiff and sterile now like every corporate bank but with far less efficiency + support. My debit card was recently blocked multiple times mid-transaction in the same week due to "new security protocols" (no purchases out of the ordinary; I'm usually trying to buy dinner, pay a bill, or get something typical like gas - great time to lose access to money). The customer service chat workers type poorly, are unknowledgeable, and cannot answer basic inquiries that had I not initiated the conversation through the bank's official app? I would've thought I was being scammed. RIP Sefcu.

SEFCU was a great credit union. I banked there for 20 + years. It had friendly faces, employees who cared about their jobs, a nice atmosphere, etc. etc.After an idiotic name change to "Broadview" it is now an anonymous ugly sterile corporate cavern. It's like going into a Chipotle.And the stupid name "Broadview" is a real turnoff.I switched to Keybank.

Today I went into branch there is a new employee Mike maton idk if that’s the correct spelling of last name but that’s who assisted me deposit my money did not greet me and I asked him to transfer money to my cap account he said no I said they did it before he replied I’m new I don’t know how to do that so no, I said can you pls ask another employee he said they are busy so go to cap com and do it yourself, I have a injury got into a bad account if I wanted to go to cap com I would of I came here for service but I wish I went to cap com employee didn’t apologize and continue to be rude then told me get out the way and wait for someone else to help me

They were getting bad as SEFCU, now that they have changed to Broadview I would give negative stars. They suck. They used to have well trained staff, something happened and I'd guess it's a company culture and compensation issue. I've been banking with them for 18 years. You might as well use a big international bank. There's absolutely no benefit to using sefcu/Broadview.

This sefcu drive thru is by far the slowest and worse I ever used I mean everytime I come to glenmont minimum is 15 to 20 minutes wait. And it's not even my bank

Went to deposit cash in their ATM in the morning and it ate my money without crediting it to the account. I was told that they will try and fix it but it wouldn't be until either the end of the day or the next day. I asked if they could credit the money to my account since it was an error on their end and they said no. More or less got told that I'm on my own until someone can come look at the ATM. It's not like I deposited the money in their direct ATM because I had to get groceries and stuff like that. Awful.

DO NOT GET A LOAN THROUGH THEM. They are rude, they are incompetent, and they do not know proper customer service. My fiancé has been financing his car through them and had nothing but issues. He had two repos which he NEVER got notified for because he never knew he OWED MONEY. When he asked them how he owed money and why they couldn’t provide a valid answer. My fiancé put 1,340 dollars in to pay for the repo charge AND his missed car payment. He called today to pay another month on his lease AND THEY MISPLACED THE FUNDS. SAYING HE OWED AN ADDITIONAL 490 DOLLARS! When my fiancé said he paid that much and has a receipt the guy hung up on him. Luckily it got squared away after talking to someone who is actually competent. STEER. CLEAR. If I could give negative stars I would.

I can't say enough good things about the SEFCU Glenmont branch. I've been a member for 9 years and of the couple hundred times I've gone there or dealt with them over the phone, it's has been nothing short of a pleasant experience. Absolutely recommend them 100%
