I had a loan through Glen Falls, and they charged me a late fee, even though I had paid a massive amount ahead. It took me several hours, multiple calls, and many different people over the phone to get my late fee back. They have horrible customer service, and I would not recommend at all

After four visits totaling 8-1/2 driving time, moe than $60 in gasoline, towards a disabled, previous good standing car loan customer, they still think they are of help. FNBGF keep calling for this private sale car loan for less than what blue book value states. The car loan was obtained in one visit of less than hour with the second bank?

Horrible Internet service. Down more than up. Always seem it is at critical time of the month for paying or checking Your account . They have a " Mickey Mouse" system for such a large number of branches. President Tom Murphy should pay more attention to internet problems and their cheap video cameras. It is disgraceful.

Absolutely terrible bank. The end all for me was recently at a check out line in Lowes home improvement attempting to buy $17,500 worth of carpet by writing a check out of my Glens Falls National checking account which had over 20k in it and it had overdraft protection to a savings account with even more money. The cashier ran the check through their verification system and it came back declined. She tried it multiple times and declined each time. Now with a line forming behind me I am on the phone with the bank. The lady I spoke to said no everything is fine on our end, it is Lowes fault. She was very short with me, rude, and only took about 10 seconds to look at things with my account before blaming Lowes. She refused to transfer me to a supervisor and said she could not help me. I pulled out another check from a out of town bank, transferred enough money into that checking account and gave it to the cashier. It was approved immediately! I guess it was not Lowes fault after all. The next day I stopped at the location off exit 18 to close my accounts. The teller asked me why and I told her the story and said I will not do business with a bank that denies me access to my own money. No apology, she had to have her manager sign the cashiers check they were giving me because it was 6 figures the manager was in her office not busy at all. She did not even come out to ask what was going on, or to apologize, or offer some attempt to keep my business. It would be nice dealing with this bank because they have locations everywhere. I deal with Chase now which the closest location is Clifton Park. They treat me like I am JP Morgan myself in that bank and I know I am worth nothing compared to others with that company. Funny how the largest bank in the country provides better service than Glens Falls National. STAY AWAY!

I have been a customer for many years, but lately it's a tough process to get new debit cards. If you don't pay a $50.00 for an expedited debit card, it supposed to take 7-10 business days to receive a new card. My husband's replacement card was requested on Oct 28th, and he still has not received the replacement card. Each time I emailed asking why we haven't received my husband's card and they keep telling me it's been sent out. As for the expedited card, I paid $50.00 for my debit card which is supposed to take 3 business days at the latest. I should have received it yesterday. As of this date, I have not received my debit card. Not sure why it's so hard to get a debit card for my account. Be aware if you need a replacement card.

We have been banking with Glens Falls National Bank since moving to Saratoga County in 1987,, Our experience has been very positive.. Staff at our branch are professional, friendly and helpful.. All of them have been with the bank a long time which speaks well for any business.. I can't imagine doing business with a better bank r group of people,

The worst. Nothing but problems. They claim to have internet banking, but EVERY TIME YOU ADD A NEW PAYEE THEY FREEZE THE ACCOUNT. And they don't bother to advise you that the payment was blocked and canceled.

2:07pm on saturday. They arent open. Not even the drive thru. Seriously ?!??I put cash money in the ATM. Monday at 3:30pm the money is still not available. Its cash. You count it. Add it to my account. Nobody is saying it should be there at 8:01 monday morning. But by 3:30pm the following monday IT SHOULD BE.Im sorry i ever got involved with this bank. You shouldn't definitely look at other options if possible.

This bank stinks. Was trying to build my credit and bought a cheap $12,000 car. My wife also had a car loan through them. Thanks to them applying the wrong checks to the wrong accounts both accounts became messed up and they tried to say I wasnt on time one time in 12 months. I had late charges up the wazoo. Even tho I had the canceled checks from all 12 payments there's no one there smart enough to straighten things out. Of course I also had no local branch to go in to talk to and had to rely on the idiots on the phone. Thankfully one loan is paid off and I traded in the $12,000 car on a new Ford and guess what, after 2 years I haven't made one late payment. I never really did, it's just the people doing their books and applying payments are on about a 3rd grade reading and comprehension level. Bottom line is, if you're shopping for a car and this bank's name pops up... AVOID! Or you will be sorry.

I had money come up missing out of my account. Both my local office, and the main office refused to help sort it out.
