I have to share my experience @ Davis Shooting Sports/Range. A+service from the very 1st time that I walked in, just to check the place out several weeks back. Wyane the Owner, is very professional/knowledgeable. His staff is A+ as well, Stephen extremely knowledgeable in helping me with my Ruger PC carbine purchase. Learned so much from him in just few minutes. Tiffany helped me with several other things, such as showing me different firearms/rifles. Great deal of information there.Mike & Rich are the RSOs, eye's & ears b4 you go into the range. The rules are explained to you again, in case you didn't read the rules on the way in. Mr. Rich is super old G with tons of experience. He is very direct and to the point. He is very serious with the range safety. Mike is super knowledgeable with range safety & he helped me several times targeting, booth set up as well as do's & do nots. I placed my targets way down, he corrected me very politely. For the life of me, I can't believe or understand the negative reviews. Some people can't be pleased, or just take things to heart right away. Complaining about price/rounds/laws that the STATE HAS FORCED onto the store/range. Please don't forget it is a service/business, like any other service that you pay for. I for one want to see my range stay open, especially in these hard times. Prices are very fare to me, rules are in forced/ in compliance/ & I always feel safe when shooting here.I remember coming in one day, it was so dang crowded. Everyone was extremely busy & it was just crazy. Wayne/Stephen apologized several times for the wait. Of course I said that it was no need to, as it was just to busy. I have never felt any racism nor negative feelings from any of the staff. From day 1, an inviting atmosphere. So in closing, I've found my goto range. I always feel welcomed when I walk through the door. Tiffany is always giving me choclate ??last but not least the shop mascot White Lab girl. Apologies for not remembering her name right now, well mannered & very friendly.FYI out there, I purchased my rifle & was about to leave because my time was up using my firearm.Wyane, being the guy that he is.Said to me, "let me get that boxs, let's get you back on the range to site that in & get a feel for your new rifle". As well as a target, so that's range time & a target for free. Wow, freaking cool dude.A+ serviceI highly recommend Davis Shooting Sports/Range.Stop by, and see for yourself welcome environment always...New Shooters,Fred F.....Thanks Wyane/Staff.

Very welcoming, down to earth, straight shooters there. The gentlemen I dealt with were direct and upfront, which for me was a breath of fresh air. Honestly, I felt like a proud American when I walked in, and it felt good. Will be back; making it my new offsite man-cave.

I’m a Patrol Officer in NH and I came down to NY to help my buddy sight in his rifle. I looked this place up and loved the fact that it was a 100 yard range. Stephan, Wayne and Rich were polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in their range. Rich put safety first which I appreciate. When I’m back in the area I’ll absolutely use the range again.

This is the place where male chauvinism thrives... I do not know if that range officer/manager is the owner of the place, but I was outraged by his comment about me... He did not even said anything to me directly, but to my husband... He can not go so low as to talk to the women. I will never go there again.

Decent selection of guns. Guys behind the counter are reasonably knowledgeable. Not a good range. Big guy working the range is miserable and will make you miserable too. Also a bit pricey to shoot for an hour.

Extremely disappointed, considering I bought my first handgun from Davis in Sloatsburg. Where I received great customer service.Very disappointing to walk into any establishment and the first question as they look you up and down is what are you here for when I tell him to use the range he says well we’re about to close and I interject well on your website, it has a different time Still I was willing to shoot for just under an hour even though he had no problem charging me for a full hour, then, unlike some ranges in the state of New York, they were adamant that my son would not be able to shoot because he was under age even though he’s my child, my responsibility and I’m all about SAFETY. So what your magazine host 10 rounds you’re not putting 10 rounds in this range another disappointment. I had heard from one or two people but I didn’t want to believe the hype and I wasn’t interested in putting the “R” card maybe or maybe not with me I don’t give any energy to that negativity. However, I did witness them giving another guy in the range, some shade because he was obviously brand new, not a big deal, We all were however, instead of helping him out and selling him a gun case they were giving him remarks and snarky looks because the guy showed up with his rifle in a blanket. As we walked out, and my son expressed a desire to buy things, I let him know the beauty of America is we can pick and choose where to do our business and we still have the right to bear arms. God bless you all. I do hope everyone in the deciding capacity in Davis does see this and possibly change the culture there because I have always enjoyed and referred ppl the Davis in Sloatsburg…. However this was such a disappointment.

The place is okay, prices were expensive for ammo and to shoot. If you are new to firearms this is probably not the place to practice. My first time there i brought a few people with me who had never shot before and the range officer was making it seem like a hindrance (I was under the impression that ranges were a place to practice and to hone skills.). You will be limited 5 rounds per mag and made to sit down if you are shooting a rifle. Staff in the front is helpful and knowledgeable. Would not come back here again.

I have absolutely no idea what the negative reviews are on about. Upon entry I was greeted by a gentleman who explained the pricing of the range (and any additional cost; for example, if you bring a buddy) along with the deal for targets they were having at the time I visited. Very professional and courteous individuals. Once I had my eyes & ears on, I walked into the range and was greeted by an older range officer who explained the rules for using the range, he was straightforward and direct. He might come off as rude to some, but this is his job and his job is to make sure your are safe along with all the other visitors. Range was super clean and organized. This was my first visit to this range for zeroing my rifles and the RSO was very helpful with any questions or troubleshooting issues I ran into. I would definitely recommend this range for anyone who's looking to get some nice groupings <100 yards and/or performing any zeroing of their optics. Just an FYI, for those who want to shoot a rifle, you will be having to use a bench rest and cannot load more than 7-rounds into your magazine and if you are zeroing, then 1-round at time loaded up, until you are "on-paper".

Went in to look at some options and ask a couple of questions. The lady was very nice and helpful. However the older guy in there was very dismissive and uninterested in helping or showing some of their selection. Prices are on the high side. Not a very welcoming feeling from that old man at all. It felt like as a customer I was just wasting his time. I was looking to purchase but instead I just walked out because I felt bad after the poor service. I went to Master Class and thankfully the feeling was the complete opposite. The guys there are very patient and informative. That is how you conduct business. Great job from both Mike's they are classy gentlemen.
