I'm really impressed with the Dollar General website for the Gowanda NY store. The site is easy to navigate and I was able to discover whether they carried a specific health item I need. The site says it's in stock, so I'm willing to spend the $5 in gas to drive there. I can call ahead to verify with the sales clerk that the product is truly there by asking them to go and look but I feel like that's alot to ask of someone who probably has better things to do. If I arrive at the store an hour after the website says it's in stock but then it isn't, I'll circle back and post that. It will render the website useless to me. No news is good news so unless I do that it means the site is well maintained and accurate.

I went to buy some beer, I'm 63 years old. I have bought beer here many times before and they never carded me just asked for my birthday. Then they hired this girl who isn't even old enough to drink and she cards me . I have just moved here from another state and my driver's license is expired because I couldn't get an appointment in Texas before it was time to move. And I haven't had a chance to renew it yet. She would not sell me the beer because it's expired , even though I Pointed out to her that my birth date wouldn't change even if it was valid. She is the only cashier that does this to me and the manager on duty allows it I will not be going back.i would rather drive farther to any other dollar general than this one. They just plain lack common sense and curtisey.

The cashier was very unprofessional. Talking about how he can’t wait to smoke weed while there’s a line of customers waiting to be checked out. And he was trying to hit on this woman while on the job. Lmao what a scummy store

If I could give them no stars I would.I purchased $5 in notebooks and the cashier neglected to put them in my bag. When I went back to the store I was lied to and told no one had them.Obviously the cashiers wanted to take some free notebooks home with them.I used to frequent this store twice a week. I will never go back again and if I can find a way to report the cashiers I plan on doing so. If dollar general wants repeat customers they should not hire thieves

I came in to get a drink before work and saw an old coworker. After asking him how he's been, he suddenly pulls a 180 and starts accusing me of saying racial slurs in front of customers at my own workplace. If that was any bit true I would have been fired a long time ago and I take great offense to that. Employee's name is Andrew Mohawk.

Cashier was very rude first time I went. Second time she accused my daughter of stealing after the fact she walked out she said it to another customer. I asked my daughter if she stole she said no so I walked in and demanded to see the cameras apparently managers can’t do that.
