I had a really good experience renting from Hertz Great Neck. The staff members were very professional and efficient. The person who helped me during pickup was extremely polite and quick — the whole process was smooth and took only a few minutes. The car was clean, ready on time, and the check-out experience was easy.
When I returned the vehicle, another team member assisted me, and he was just as friendly and fast. It was great to see that both the pickup and return were handled so well — no unnecessary delays or confusion.
The only issue I had was with the car itself — the Apple CarPlay was not working, which made it difficult to play music or use navigation during my trip. It wasn’t a big problem overall, but it did make the long drive a little less comfortable.
Other than that, everything went perfectly. I’d definitely rent from this location again and really appreciate how helpful and respectful the staff were throughout the process.

For my car rental needs I love going to HERTZ Car Rental in Great Neck. Kareem Nathaniel, the Manager Associate there and his incredible team always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable in the vehicles that I rent from them. Their dedication to customer service is outstanding. Kareem and his team really care about Hertz’s clients and represent Hertz so well.

I had an excellent experience with Hertz! From the moment I arrived, the process was smooth, easy, and stress-free. Kareem went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and confident with my rental. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and made me feel truly valued as a customer. That kind of personal care really stood out and made all the difference. I also think it would be great if Hertz offered discounts on add-on products, like the loss damage waiver insurance, but overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Thanks to Kareem and the team for making this such a positive rental — I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Hertz to others!

Extremely poor experience due to long wait times. On a busy Saturday afternoon, there was only one employee handling everything — from helping customers at the counter to moving cars from the lot. She was doing her best, but the lack of staffing was unacceptable. We waited over 70 minutes in line, plus another 10 minutes just to receive the car we had already reserved and paid for in advance. Now we need to change plans for today due to this delay. If you’re on a tight schedule or just don’t want to loose your time, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I decided to go early in the morning. around 8 AM. The Great Neck location, there was a nice gentleman, who opened up the office, ...he was very helpful. There wasn't a vehicle for me, but he quickly solved that issue... When I came to return the vehicle, he was there as well, 8am ... The return process was quick.. Overall great experiments..you have a return customer

Hertz ruined my day in business as I was aiming to rent a car to go visit clients. I am very disappointed at the service I receive from Hertz in general and specifically this location.
I booked a reservation through the Hertz app around 7:45am for an 8:30am pickup.
I received a confirmation number.
I entered this Hertz location at approximately 8:50 AM. There was only one person working there. To her defense, she was doing the best job she could.
After waiting patiently for 45 minutes for two people in front of me to be helped, The lady at the counter told me that she cannot see my reservation (Even though I had a confirmation number) And that she had “ No cars whatsoever”. I was very frustrated and I left.

The very worst that I had to rent from. Took Uber from train station to rent a car. I made this reservation several weeks ago. I arrived at the time that was arranged to find there was no car waiting for me. The attendant sent me to another location, saying my current reservation and rate would be honored. Took another Uber to JFK and the agent there told me they couldn't honor my reservation and that I had to make another reservation at a much higher rate. Called the main reservation and they assured me that they would pay the difference. They all lied, from the attendant to the representative that answer the phone in the Philippines. This is unacceptable.
