Went and got oil change at pep boys in Greece on Greece Rd. After I picked up my car and drove to work the first day I noticed the weird smell coming from the car. My boyfriend noticed the oil was leaking because he saw droplets on our driveway. He looked under the hood and the oil cap was NOT on! It was SITTING on top of the radiator!!! There was oils spilled all over the engine if my car!!! We brought it back to pep boys and told them what happened. The technician looked up the video cam and he was telling us that his technician did everything right!! I ask him how did the oil cap ended up sitting on the radiator? His reply was ' I don't know what happened but my technician did everything right.' So we looked at the video together the video was hard to tell because of the angle of the camera. It never really show if he put the cap back on or not because his body blocked that view! All I want is for them to apologize and fixed the problem but they decided to debate that what happened wasn't coming from their careless work. Since they don't want to take the blame So I guess the oil cap itself decided to come off and decided to sit on top of the radiator just to ruin my car for fun!!

Had 2 snow tires put on, and had the other 2 rebalanced. Had the car checked over because it was a new purchase. Everything went great. Glad to see things are still going well after I stopped working there.

I took my car here because it was the cheapest estimate for getting my winter tires put on. I guess it makes sense now. I dropped it off at 2, and they called me at 2:40 to ask if they were being put on the front or rear tires, and to tell me it was in the shop. The man at the front desk was very nice but he was not very good at his job, he didn't get any information from me and answered the phone while I was talking to him (and didn't put it on hold). I came back 1.5 hours later and asked how much longer it would be, and they said 30 minutes. So I waited, and a few minutes later they came over to ask where my wheel lock key was. AKA they didn't even start yet. The workers at this location do a whole lot of talking and not much working, it seems. Next time I'll pay the extra price just to avoid coming back here.

I knew I needed to get new tires for the car my daughter drives but I procrastinated. Snow storm hit and she ended up skidding off the road. After kicking myself for being an idiot I jumped online. Pep Boys in Greece NY was the only location within 15 minutes of me that had an online scheduling tool with availability that day, and I was able to get an appointment within 2 hours. Once I confirmed they had the tires in stock that I wanted, I booked it in. Cost was not too bad ($750 out the door with install on some BFGoodrich Advantage Controls) but I chose tires that had no discounts or rebates. I was in and out within a 2 hour window which was again reasonable given I thought I was going to have to wait a few days to get the work done. Glad I had a ride and left for the duration as the shop has little in the way of comforts (TV and some basic chairs... a little cold as well). This location recently closed its store front and has kept its service center going and it looks to have a small crew. That said... for getting some good brand tires on quickly they met the need and the service was friendly and efficient. Brandon was helpful and polite. I would recommend them if you don't have a "go-to" location for tires and you are in need of fast service (assuming they have the tires in stock). 5 stars because they solved a big problem for me when I needed it to be done quickly! It is also not the first time Pep Boys has been there when I was in a pinch. Thanks!

Can't say enough kind words about this team. Dead battery on Saturday. Called and immediately was greeted by Kimberly telling me they could squeeze me in. Within no time they had a new battery installed and checked/fixed my error message. Awesome group and highly recommend. Kimberly deserves a raise. She handled the busy front desk and phone with kindness, enthusiasm and a smile.

Our experience was great except that the inspector left before the inspection was done. That caused my vehicle to be at pep boys a day longer than expected. The manager was wonderful and very responsive.

I set up an appointment online for my wife to get tires on her car for the buy 2 get 2 promotion they have going on. I set up an appointment for 11/28. We dropped the car off and received a call later that day from brandon, stating that the one bolt needed to be torched off and all the certified techs to run the the torch were gone for the day to do this. We were told they leave at 5pm. They offered to do it the next day but we were leaving for vacation that next day and it wouldn't work. So we picked the car up.We ended up scheduling another appointment for the day after we got back 12/6. On 12/5, between our flights home, I received a voicemail from Kim stating that the tires were out of stock and they needed to order more tires and we would have to reschedule. For the inconvenience she was able to order a better set of tires for us for the same price. We set up a new appointment for 12/13.12/13 came around and we dropped the car off, only to get a phone call that the tires were not in stock AGAIN. They had to order new, different tires again. This time it was another better tire, BF Goodrich. Told us they would be in the next day. 12/14 we dropped the car off at 3PM.... 5:30 rolls around and we get a call from Kim again saying that these new tires are the wrong size... and blame was placed on us. We used the online ordering system to select the tires for the specific car, which our bad for not verifying and at this point the tires had been reordered twice from the employees. Which you’d think they would’ve at least verified the tire size before this point. I mean they are mechanics, you can’t take a customers word for parts. Kim said she was able to find the size we needed in stock but the techs were gone for the night that run the alignment machine and it would have to be done the next day. Sheesh... all while I kept getting texts and advertisements about their buy 2 get 2 free promotion still going on. Finally, my tires got done on Friday 12/15. If they would’ve checked and verified the tire size initially, then who knows if I would’ve been in this pickle to begin with. At the end of the day I still paid the same amount as my initial price but what a process to go through for four tires and a alignment.Horrible experience just to get some simple tires on a car. We will not be going back and will be telling everyone in the area about this experience. Truly unacceptable.

The folks here couldn’t be nicer. They fit me into the schedule so I could get home for Thanksgiving and I did. While I was there some guys came in headed to Buffalo and they got a flat and didn’t have a spare. It was closing time, but they took their car in and fixed it on the spot. I was most impressed with this. The only reason I’m leaving off a star is because although my main issue was fixed, the sensor they installed does not work. They are in the process of ordering a new one. Overall though this place and the people there are caring and great!
