Horrible. Should not be allowed to bill themselves as a "resort". Small, dirty campsites. Left immediately with no refund.

We came for a relaxing weekend in the woods but they were playing music VERY loudly and it wasn’t relaxing at all.

I can not even begin to describe how amazing this place is!! We were there for Labor Day weekend and it was awesome!! There's always something going on, dj's, karaoke, huge bon fires. I stayed in cabin C5 and it was so clean and incredibly comfortable. There is a guy named Steve there, who goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I can't wait to get back there!!

I WAS a member for 1.5 years. What a scam this place is! To bad, with the right management and some fixing it could be a nice place but looks like it will never happen. They have had broken promises to their members for many years. Upside, it's a good location but there are other RV parks in the same area.

Went tent camping over the weekend. The new tent camping sites were a bit odd with new sod rectangles laid down surrounded by sand but other than that it was a great stay! The pool was clean, the showers were clean and warm, the toilets were clean and the workers at the trading post were helpful. Great location to visit Saratoga springs. Can’t beat it for the price!

We booked an RV site by the pond; arrived to find someone else in our spot. Not sure why or what happened but the staff were friendly & refunded our money without any issues. While we were unable to stay, it looks like a killer spot for families with kids! Great pool area, cornhole, mini golf, playground, etc… however there is very little separation between sites (if you care about that).we did also stop in the restrooms, they need some work, a good thorough cleaning, perhaps more natural light and a better fan.We don’t have kids so wasn’t a fit for us BUT you better believe we’re coming back when we do have little ones.

Our names are Kris and Lisa Lunderman and we LOVE it here!!!! Ignore ALL negative reviews and please read ours. We believe you will be happy camping here if you keep in mind what your are booking. This isn’t glamping, modern nor high end. It’s not rundown, it’s rustic….it’s camping in the woods, just as you would expect at the base of the Adirondack’s. If you are looking for luxury camping this is not for you. If you like being surrounded by nature, the smell of pine trees, sitting by a campfire, a nature walk around the lake, cooling off in a pool….you will love it here.We are here now and staying for a full month in site #60. We have a 2021 38 foot fifth wheel that requires 50 amps. Although there is no sewer hook-up they offer daily pump service (or as often as you want it) at no additional cost. We have been getting pumped out every other day and do not have to be present when they do it. Not only that but we’ve been here when they did pump our tanks but never even heard them. We have stayed in other similar campgrounds that offer pumping at a charge and those fees can add up….here, it is completely free. The roads are a little bumpy but easy to maneuver. The ground is covered in pine needles…because, well…trees. And beautiful trees are everywhere! We often see children riding bikes or playing in the brand new playground just built this year. Our 4 year granddaughter loved it. She especially liked that there were four different slides and varied “rock” walls with ropes for climbing. She also loved the children’s water splash pad area. It was clean and ankle deep with chairs all around for adults to keep good watch. Right next to the children’s water area there is a family pool only 4 feet deep but wide and large enough for many campers to enjoy. Lots of chairs and loungers and again, very clean. It’s all fenced in and locked at night. They offer a small putt putt course with free club and ball rentals. You just pick them up inside the little general store where you check in. Oh yea….they offer free coffee and sometimes have fresh, large homemade chocolate chip cookies for purchase…..they are yummy and very reasonably priced. The nights are quiet with people outside enjoying campfires or cooking dinner. No noise or loud campers…just nature. Our site faces the little lake and we are greeted daily by a tiny family of Canadian geese. We feed them crackers and they are friendly and sweet. We have often seen people out in the lake in a canoe or on the sandy beach fishing. Weekends tend toBe full but many people leave on Sunday and so weekdays have open spots.Last week we rented a cabin for our grown children who came to visit and they had a wonderful time. They stayed in cabin #1. We had to supply our own bedding and towels but everything else was there. The front had a swing inside the screened porch and the kitchen full of dishes, cups and utensils. The microwave, coffee pot and stove worked well. The TV picked up local channels or you could pay a minimal fee for internet on the Roku supplied. There was one queen bed in the back and a queen floor pad upstairs in the loft…perfect for kids! The futon could be used for sleeping if needed and was large and made of heavy oak. The cabin had a little table with four chairs. We played cards every night! Please keep in mind, these are homey but rustic. You should not expect hotel quality but rather camping in a cabin. We highly recommend this beautiful campground, the friendly staff, the taste of nature and its 8 mile proximity to Saratoga! Our grown children are all professionals who like to call themselves “bougie” (LOL). None of them expected to like it here, camp in the woods and be so surrounded by nature. We were surprised when they all asked if we could meet up here again next year. We are already making plans!

First time camping and I enjoyed myself. I actually bought a bigger tent and more camping gear to go camping again. This location was great it was on a RV site it had water and electric. The pool was enjoyable as well as relaxing by the fire. ATnT cell service was t that great but for $5 for 24 hours WiFi is available.

As 2 be expected, I know It's outdoor camping It's kind of dusty. The people in the community are friendly. Met a very nice gentleman who stayed there and helped us with our RV. The overall appearance is OK. The Lake is like a swamp. Overall, at site number 12 where we stayed It's very Rocky, the ground is uneven there was no Clear border lines as to where you should park your vehicle on the site. We did not have a fire pot or a picnic table. We gotten an argument with a Karen As to who had the space? The honey pot service is nice. My hat goes off to them, they have to take that mess out of your RV Every day. first Come first serve to be on the list, so make sure you go early. It was free but I tipped the gentleman for putting me on the list. It was nice u guess for my first time quiet peaceful depending on where u park. Don't expect the Hilton it's More like motel 6 with clean sheets and ac lol but I enjoyed myself it's all about what you make of itNearby activities: Walmart was 20 minutes awaySafety: No problems

The customer service is terrible. I booked 2 sites and after reading reviews we decided to cancel the stay. I was wondering why there were so many open campsites when I booked.I have probably left 8 messages (two different phone numbers and a message online). In the two weeks of trying to cancel my reservation they returned my call twice. Thankfully the second time I answered the call. Finally got my site cancelled… but I didn’t receive my refund. I’ve left two more messages and no return phone call. I have all the screen shots of my calls and the email I sent… I have resorted to filing a dispute with cc.Edit: I was refunded the full amount through my credit union. Business never replied to dispute.

It’s cute but I would not call this a camping resort. Amenities are limited and areas need updating/maintenance I.e. the playground, lake, sites. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating nobody was in the office from 12-2pm and to pick a site. We found a few open sites but with a 36 foot, or bigger, camper, your options are limited. A lot of the sites were not long enough or level enough to accommodate us, which was a bit frustrating. It would be nice to have a set site and know you are going to fit, than to arrive and have nowhere to go. The Website makes no mention of having a shuttle to and from Saratoga Performing Arts Center. I booked this place because it was close to SPAC, but ended up paying $50 for premier parking at the concert I was attending because I assumed there was no shuttle at the campground. Upon check in, they have a paper at the front desk stating they offer a shuttle to and from SPAC and I said to (I’m assuming one of the owners) I didn’t see it on your website, you should advertise that, he proceeded to talk over me, telling me how much people loved the shuttle service and how they could go to and from the concert without worrying about DWI, etc… I again tried to tell him guests would probably like to know that a shuttle is available but he again talked over me and I gave up trying to talk to him about it. I doubt we will come back. There are definitely better places for the same amount we paid to stay here. My advice to the owners: If you’re going to be in the guest relations/hospitality business, you should take constructive criticism so you can give your guests a better experience.

If there were 0 stars this in one camp that deserves it. There are pictures for evidence if anyone wants to see! We left early due to the problems. It started with us booking a cabin for 6 ppl and 2 dogs. When we arrived at check in (3pm) the office was closed and said closed for dinner? Yeah thats what we said also dinner! No one answered the phone. When she finally showed up to work at 330pm we were able to get our cabin. We go to the cabin and it only sleeps 4 even though our reservation and confirmation said 6 people on it. After arguing that there are only two beds they moved us to a cabin for 6. Well here we go. The cabin was not cleaned especially the ceiling fans which rained dust all over us, and the bathroom which still had dirt in the shower and the toilet was clearly not cleaned. Over half the lights in the cabin did not work so it was really dark in there in the evenings. The cabin for six comes with dining ware and pots and things. There are only dishes for 4 in a cabin for six. So we rotated who ate at a time until we went out and bought paper products. The water lines for the kitchen sink are crossed so the hot water is cold and the cold water at the sink was hot, which was problems for our kids when they went to get drinks. The toilet ran and flushed all night. We told them about it they supposedly went to go parts for it and never came to fix it all 4 days of our stay. About 6 feet from our picnic table outside was raw sewage that was overflowing on the ground including toilet paper and human waste. We had the maintenance crew come and pump it but they left the sewage all over the ground even though they said they would pick it up later. All 4 days the sewage stayed and smelled horrible right next to where we ate and the bugs were crazy due to the mess. We could not take it anymore we left early due to all the issues.

Lovely location, campsites located around a beautiful setting with natural wildlife visitors daily. Drawbacks weekends are loud with parties and no rules are in place for quiet times etc. WiFi is very limited and no television as advertised. Not important to us but shouldn't be part of the price if not included. Extra items like firewood aren't always available. Sites aren't maintained well as it's a lot to ask of the minimal staff that's there, they do the best they can.

We stayed at sister resort schroon river camping resort . Place was terrible staff unfriendly, cabin renter only slept 4 we had 8 people had to get a tent and sleep people in our camper site . Cabin was not clean and over ridden by mice including in the oven . We notified the owner first night no response , we tried to find another place but nowhere close that could accommodate us all. The picture on web showed a nice place it was old and outdated we left a day early we would like a refund for the rv site and the cabin for the night we did not stay 300.00 total feel this is more then fair for our trouble . Can’t believe you people never responded and tried to make it right . The Mccabe’s august 31-26 disgraceful to run a business like this
