“Pawfect Pet Den (PPD) was highly recommended to me and I am grateful for it. Love bringing my dogs here. They are super supporters of adopted pets too. Brought my newly adopted senior Yorkie in for her nails and paw hairs to be trimmed to keep her from sliding on the floor. They kindly offered to do it between appoints if I didn't mind waiting. After that great service I made an appointment for my Chihuahua. The groomers are so experienced they can clip my Chihuahua's nails while she's putting up a loud fuss. The owners are kind, caring, and professional. They carry a variety of quality foods, treats, and pet necessities. I highly recommend PPD.”

Drogo is an 8-month Cane Corso puppy. When I arrived at the store to drop him off for training, Drogo was lunging and growling at every person who entered. It was dangerous and not to mention embarrassing. I’ve had to leave other dog-friendly places because of the same awful behavior. What a mess we were.
When I returned to Maximum K9 for a demo after 2 weeks, Katie and Kayla trained me with Drogo and then took us into the same store, this time more bustling and crowded than at drop-off. Drogo and I were able to walk around calmly, he was not reactive at all, and I was able to put him into a down position and he stayed. It was like I was seeing a DIFFERENT DOG! Wow!
I could go on and on with examples and stories and I honestly can’t say enough great things, but the bottom line is that this was one of the best decisions we’ve made and we had an amazing experience. Drogo is a GOOD BOY and he was loved and well cared for by all of the staff. I am now confident and proud to walk with Drogo. I highly recommend Maximum K9 and we will be returning for ongoing classes. Thank you for teaching us and for loving Drogo. We will see you again soon!”

“I had never even heard of Central Park Puppies when I began searching for my Cavapoo. The site came up when I did a Google search. I never knew anyone who used them, had no referrals, and no background. All I know is that from the second I contacted Central Park Puppies, I was provided feedback, pictures, videos, etc. I dealt with Ash and she was a pleasure- her responses were quick, she had all the details I wanted, and even reached out to the breeder for additional videos of our pup. I would HIGHLY recommend Central Park Puppies! My husband and I kind of jumped into our purchase, but every step of the way was simple, straightforward, and pleasurable. It has been a little over a month that we have had our pup and I still keep in touch with Ash. “This is the best store in NY state if not the US. I have gone to many stores and Tropical Island aquarium has it all. From rare and exotic fish to the highest end coral. For beginners it is where you must go to start off in the hobby. The reason why I say it’s the best because they have the most competitive prices for the nicest coral and exotic fish beats the highly marketed online sellers and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.”

“I've been to PetPort a number of times and have had the same experience every time. The employees are friendly and personable. They are open late and in my case they carry a very popular brand of cat toy. The "yeow" brand of catnip cat toys are some of the best catnip toys on the market. They are hard to find at chain pet stores like PetSmart and petco, but PetPort always has them. Shopping was quick and easy. Give them a visit you will not be disappointed.”

“I brought my 7 month old mini golden doodle to Doggie Dons for grooming. When we arrived we were invited into the back while Don finished shaving another dog. My puppy was nervous and shaking at first but calmed down after a few minutes. When it was her turn she was calm and relaxed. They did a great job and when I picked her up a few hours later I was very pleased with her appearance. I will definitely be back in the future.”

“I brought when he was 8 weeks old. I was online, saw his picture and fell in love right then. My mother and I went to the store and he started jumping up and down like her I am. I really didn’t notice him but my mom did. I as began to play with other dogs my mom was having a ball with him. He had such character then, and now wow almost three year later he is still the joy of my life. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful store with great employees. I truly trust them and I will be back.”

“Purchased two pups from this store. One in 2021 and the other in 2023. They are truly the best pet shop on Long Island. I visited a few pet shops in the area from Huntington and neighboring areas before selecting this one to purchase our pups. This was the only one that did not smell like pee! The location is extremely clean and the puppies are well cared for. That made me feel safe. Our first Yorkie was sick once we brought her home because she wouldn’t eat the day we took her home but luckily they provided her with healthcare from West Hills Animal Hospital next door. They covered the whole bill and she got better!The maltipoo has never had any health issues, but my only issue was that she turned out WAY bigger than expected. We love her but I wanted her to be a similar size to the yorkie as promised. So that left a sour taste in my mouth after paying so much for two dogs. The maltipoo is almost 10lbs and she was supposed to be around 6lbs-7lbs at most.”

“We have been taking our cat to Plainview Animal Hospital for years. We love the staff and board our cat frequently there. Unlike many vets, they do medical boarding, which we need since our cat gets insulin shots twice daily. We have tried other vets before in the tri state area (we've lived in NYC for years). However, we continuously make the trip to Plainview Animal Hospital for their level of care and having the options we need for our pet.”

“Ive stopped un a few times when in Huntington to shop. I recently went when they hosted a fundraiser for a dog rescue where in return you received a gift bag and 1 free photo with Santa from a professional photographer You then had an option to purchase additional photos. The photos came out so cute. While waiting I spoke to someone about my senior dog who no matter what I was feeding her refused to eat alot I left with some bone broth I purchased for her and my gift bag and sure enough my dog ate the one sample of food. They were so knowledgeable about the products they carried I would highly recommend them to anyone. I left with a beautiful picture was able to help a dog recue and my dog finally ate.”

“The ladies at the Grooming saloon, very understanding and caring towards my cocker spaniel. They were very patient. they took into consideration to cut his fur first, and then wash him then groom him so that he wouldn’t be so anxious. I know this all sounds just what they should do but they were very understanding. also look like they did not rush just to get them out.”

“Dr Jeffrey Kramer, at the Commack location, was so warm and friendly. When I went to Vetco in Commack on October 28, 2024 at 5:45 pm, the doctor was totally obnoxious. I'm sure Vetco can look back and see who he was. The young man who assisted Dr Kramer, Denzel, was so kind and gentle with my 12 year old pup. I'm grateful to them both. ?”

“My best friend biggie had a heat stroke and we were scared for his life called PetSmart veterinarian services because we used them before with my other puppy Lola and they were very good with her so we brought biggie and they where able to see him right away and helped him get back to his biggie self thank you very much we appreciate you guys staff is very helpful and attentive.”

“Edit: *Customer service did respond (in multiple ways) to address my concern. They did satisfy the issue 100% and reassured me this is not how they like things done. The way customer service handled this (super patient, empathetic, intelligent and professional) was superb. That and their Vets/vet techs being very good and knowledgeable, I will be staying a customer. Of course in the future I'll make it a point to check on exactly what I want (by name) before I go in for an appointment, so check-in isn't a possible issue... Still don't like how the options were handled , I guess always prep and do your homework.*

They will try to rip you off by charging you alla cart on shots, watch how they set up you package plan!
So the vet and their assistant are always great. I've been going to Vetco clinic for years. I goto the Huntington store on Long Island. The person that checks you in should be fired or at least retrained.... My dog needed only 3 shots this year. The old guy checking me in said it would be $185 for the visit. This is more than I thought it would be. He charged me for the smallest package (rover@ $135) and charged me $45 for the additional Lyme shot. I said that seems wrong, couldn't I get a better package that includes the Lyme shot? (The next level package is trailblazer and is $155, it includes the Lyme and also an unnecessary 5 in 1)This older, rude man said I didn't need one of the shots in the next level package, so he said to take this package plan with a Ala cart add on for the Lyme.... So I say ok. This doesn't sit right with me, so I called vetco. Was told I could've definitely gotten the better package and just not taken the extra shot, saving $20+
I am livid. I requested a refund for the difference, waiting to see if corperate helps me out. Was told this should not have happened. I goto a clinic for shots to save money. This would've been the same price @ a full care veterinary hospital.”

“Hard to find a quality cat food that's organic. I have been making most of my cat food for years since my two Siamese would not eat canned food. Cornucopia is the first canned food they would eat--at least most of the flavors. They do not like the Superbowl of Salmon (but eat home-cooked wind-caught salmon with no problem). The other flavors they are fine with. I mix one can every morning with fresh, raw greens, veggies and either organic chicken, wild-caught salmon or organic turkey, plus their supplement. Most is stored in the fridge to dole out during the day when their plate is empty. Happy so far and they seem happy, too! BTW, my last 5 Siamese lived to 24-26 years so organic and some veggies is definitely the way to go.”

“The customer service is amazing! I used a Groupon but I couldn't get Groupon to fix my address. I contacted Scoochie directly and within 30 minutes someone called me and intercepted the package before it as shipped to the wrong address. We got the product and my dogs love it! This is my new favorite company to order chews for my three dogs!”
