My 8 months old Portuguese Water dog is a patient of Dr. May. The front desk informed me that they also provide grooming. I have taken my puppy twice to another location where they did a great job but I wanted to find a place closer to home. Nancy was the groomer. She asked me what I had in mind for my puppy and I said to leave one inch every where and do a close cut around the nose/mouth. 4 hours later, I saw my puppy that had uneven patches of hair. Her legs were not done at all. Nancy said she was moving too much and that's all she could do. I expressed that this does not look proper. Nancy offered a free grooming to fix all of the concerns (however I will not Subject my puppy to another horrible cut).Nancy said she has 20 years of experience however she did not demonstrate this with my puppy) When we got home I found loose patches of hair all over falling from my puppy. I can't even look at her ears, the cut is so choppy.

During the last 40 years, I have experienced different vetenerian for my dogs. Unfortunately, my previous vetenerian, who a great one, retired. I had to look for another practice. To my humble point of view, I have had better than this one.

from a recent experience, they are definitely accommodating, understanding and efficient. From the front to back of the office, all staff is extremely kind.I recently had my pup in for an exam, tests, then surgery. Every visit, they brought out new animal for my 3.5 year old twins to enjoy learning about while I spoke to the doctors about my dogs health. Their prices are reasonable and they took gentle good care of my small, elderly dog. This was an emotional time for me and they all seemed to make it go as smooth as possible. I absolutely recommend this office!

Tried to get the emergency appointment here for my puppy, but these people could not accommodate me. The people who answer the phone are very rude.

Doctor May is seriously the BEST veterinarian I’ve ever been to! I can’t wait to have Cupcake’s teeth cleaned by him!

I am sharing my experience as a non-customer. I was devastated recently when my 8 year old 190lb great dane tore his CLL. I reached out to my mobile vets, in house vets, special surgery hospitals and Mr. May trying to find information on using a "mypetsbrace" for my dog rather than surgery. Mr. May didn't know me but not only called me back but spent 19 minutes on the phone with me discussing the brace procedure and various types of surgery for my big boy. I was so amazed that a vet actually cared enough to speak with me and offer his professional knowledge to me and even if my wife if she wanted to speak to him in the future. Ultimately, I needed to get a TPLO surgery from a specialist with Giant Breed dogs but after speaking with Mr. May I felt more secure in my decision. If I lived closer than an hour away I would be looking into using Mr. May as an additional vet for my boy. This is my way of thanking Mr. May for spending the time to discuss my options and making me feel as comfortable as possible with the decision I needed to make.

Doctors are clueless. Completely misdiagnosed my cat some time ago who had obvious cutaneous lymphoma.Diagnosed and treated as allergies as he suffered and withered away with cancer. None of these doctors had any clue nor did they ever biopsy his skin.I wish I was more educated a few years ago, I could've prevented his suffering.I'd never recommend these vets. When he was sent to emergency I could not even access his records to give them because there was nobody in the office.Never again will I let any of my animals suffer at the hands of these clearly uneducated doctors.

My dog passed away about a week ago and it has been a very rough experience, as I'm sure many have been through. Roslyn Greenvale Veterinary Group has been the place we have gone to for many years for our girl. After 16 years of life, it was time to put her down. Upon arriving at the vet, the nurses were kind and supportive during this terrible time. However, that was the only good experience we had that day. We waited in the room for Dr. Brian Marder for a couple of moments, until he arrives. The first thing he says is, "wow this is a lot of people." Is that really how you greet people when they're about to put their beloved dog down, let alone any of your clients? Mind you, we were four people. Lola was so loved and if it were possible, there would be way more than just four people in the room. She was not just a pet but a part of the family, so yes we were going to be there for her. Not once did he say sorry for our loss or for the rough time we were going through. This was simply just a job for him. When he put the anesthesia, Lola started crying and yelping. Instead of trying to calm her down, he says, "I swear it doesn't hurt," and laughs. How terrible are you??? He then steps out to wait for the drug to work. When he comes back he tells us to put her back on the table and so we do. I proceed to ask Dr. Brian Marder if this part will hurt her and he goes, "No I don't think it'll hurt." Excuse me? You don't THINK it'll hurt? That's your professional medical opinion? I'm paying you thousandths of dollars to tell me you don't THINK it'll hurt? That's outrageous. When he finally puts the drug in to put her to sleep, we are all sobbing and upset and then I ask how long it'll take and he goes, "oh it's done... Yeah, it's quick." Not once did he explain the process to us and how it would work. Once it's over he walks out and that's it. I've never met someone so heartless and self-absorbed in my life. This moment should have been so peaceful and loving and he completely ruined it by being such an a**. I'm writing this because no one should ever have to go through what we went through with him. We as clients, along with our precious pets do not deserve that. And this isn't the first time he has been awful to us. Whenever we would take Lola to him he would always behave in such an arrogant way, never listening to our inquisitions. He might've just been doing his job but part of being any kind of doctor is having good etiquette, which is something he extremely lacks. To make matters worse, we called a week later about Lola's ashes to see when they would be ready, and when they answer the phone, we find out that they already had them. Their excuse was that they were dropped off late the day before. If this was the case, why weren't we called first thing the next day? When we called, it was already 1 pm. We paid for the services in advance, and when it comes to a loved one, we would've loved to have been informed of when it was ready to be picked up. Who knows how long it would've been if we never decided to call that day? All in all, in a really difficult moment for my family and I, Dr. Brian Marder should not have been making the situation worse. "Bird doc", I'm talking to you now, maybe it's best to stick to birds because when it comes to dogs and people, you have no idea what you're doing and have no compassion for your clients.

Horrible service. I called to reschedule my appointment due to a last minute business meeting and when the receptionist (Robin) picked up, I explained my situation to her. She immediately started being extremely rude saying that I was inconsiderate because my time slot could’ve been used for someone else because they were packed today and that I confirmed my appointment, which I did, but something came up last minute. She then hung up on me. I called back to ask her why she would hang up on a client and she responded by repeatedly telling me that I’m not a client yet and then put me on hold. I’ve never experienced anything like this!
