What a great experience I had this morning joining the Guiderland YMCA. The receptionist who helped me was awesome. She was friendly, professional, enthusiastic and knew her stuff! And I followed that with an outstanding spin class.outstanding spin

The female lifeguards are so rude. It's not funny that they laugh at me for being a beginner swimmer. I really used to love going to this place, but there's no point anymore because I feel discouraged so I will go elsewhere.

Mostly very nice facility. My only issue is people using the machines in the weight room sit at the machines between their sets staring at their phones while others have to wait for them - for extended periods. There really should be a posted protocol for this self centered rudeness.

Very disappointing experience here and I have to say it - very toxic Karen energy at the front desk. I flew into town from California to visit my elderly grandmother who lives the YMCA. She was all excited for me to try out her gym and said she “cleared it with them” that I could use the facilities for the duration of my visit. I went in and was told I would not be allowed in and when I mentioned my grandmother they said my “grandmother has no authority here” (!) and that if they “have free passes they would go bankrupt.” I see. Eventually, I got my grandmother on the phone and they said they would honor the note on her profile for “a couple of days” but then I would have to pay $99 to use the facilities while I’m here. It’s not about the money - it’s about how negative and toxic the interaction was! I thought this was a friendly community gym that was nice to oldpeople. I feel sorry for everyone for whom this is the only option.

Great facility! Always clean and mostly quiet. Staff members are kind and helpful. They have affordable membership options too.

Rude and disrespectful staff with bad attitudes. Chaos in the gym due to unsupervised children and young adults that act like children. People use the indoor track like it’s their personal park, walking in all lanes while clearly there is a lane for walking, jogging, and running. Going back to the Clifton Park YMCA. This one is clearly mismanaged.

Awesome place to take kids! Has it all as both a community rec center for adults AND youth of all ages.

I enjoy my workouts here. It's a beautiful, well-maintained facility with some very nice people. They do seem to need more supervision for such a busy place.I have had a few encounters with some unpleasant people. I amunder the impression there are two friends or relatives getting in with one membership card. Some members spend way too much time in the locker room. This makes it difficult for people who are on a schedule to get in and out in a timely manner.I have been frequenting health clubs most of my life. I give this four stars, but will come back and update my post as things change-hopefully for the better.

I have been coming for for some time, but the facility is lacking cleanliness.Apparently Y management fired cleaners who did a decent job in the past.Currently the place is a disaster and surprised the health department hasn't shut them down. The locker rooms a littered with trash, dust and mold in shower. Who knows about the pools. Sauna's floor has never been cleaned and definitely growing someone science project under the wood boards.I think upper management should've thought out the consequences prior to releasing the cleaning company because the Y management is doing a piss poor job with maintenance and cleaning of the facility.Truly wonder what would happen if the health department would come in . My guess they would shut them down to get up to par with health safety .Clean the facilities please.

Great workout/health facility. Lots of activities and signups for adults and kids. The gym has a lot of equipment and its never overly packed which is great.

Very nice facility and friendly staff. I would give it 5 stars were it not for the child care, which was a major factor of why we chose the YMCA. The last 2 months have been plagued with cancellations mostly on weekends. I sincerely hope they hire more staff (the ones in the day care on weekdays are fantastic, by the way) and make the program more accessible.

I just come this place three time, every time the staff there come to talk me. Every time!!! They keep coming to get trouble for me. There is a staff who was dressed in blue, she told me I can just swim there after 8:30? So I can't swim in my spare time? That is ridiculous. I don't do anything wrong in swimming pool. I don't wanna go there anymore!!
