I moved cross country and was told I would receive the same information/customer service as I promised as if I lived in NY.
Rachel was not help and dis not care about that I needed my debit card updated.
This is important to me, however it does not seem important to the institution! I really hate using that word institution And it’s really sad that Rachel is part of the institution

I wish I could give them zero stars. I had an auto loan with them that was paid via electronic transfer of funds from NBT Bank every month. I paid the loan off in full. After 2 months, Broadview was still reporting the auto loan is open on my credit report and they were still taking the monthly payment out of my NBT account. I called Broadview 6 times and was told the money that they took out of my NBT account would be deposited into my Broadview savings account. But that didn't happen. So I called them again. This time they told me the money would be returned to NBT because the auto loan no longer existed. This is the opposite of what I was told previously. The bottom line I was told I have to wait 5 more business days for the money to be returned to my NBT account from which it was wrongly withdrawn. Broadview is either a) liars, b) incompetent or c)both. Bottom line I was denied access to my money for over 2 weeks. Do not do any business with this Credit Union.

We had a very serious issue with our account in which we were sent back and forth over the phone and email with no resolution. We visited the Guilderland branch, after speaking to 5 representatives over the phone and one through email. When we went into the bank we spoke with Jesse A. He was friendly, patient and very understanding. He confirmed what we had been telling the 5 phone and 1 email representatives. While we were not able to get the funds returned during that visit due to the department that handles the transactions not being in, Jesse assured us that he would follow up and contact us the next business day. He was able to make a very stressful situation better for us and made us feel heard. We just want to thank and recognize Jesse for his help! Thank you Jesse!

SEFCU was eager to call me to notify me of a $15 charge they were about to send to collections. The call was legally required to be 48 hours before, so they called me at close on a Friday so they could go through with it. They made no effort to contact me beforehand, even willingly ignoring a legal address change.After 4 years, it is still the only ding on my credit report. I've been trying to go a response to an application submitted (in person and complete with all supporting documentation) 23 days ago. I get nothing but the run around. They say the documents were emailed to me. I check everyday, all folders and trash and spam. No, nothing. Only one employee, named Jesse, is trying to help me.

Typically you don't have to ever visit a bank branch, but certain situations require you to physically go there. This bank is in-line with every other bank. If you have to go there expect to wait.
