I would like to share my recent experience as a first time customer in your store. I had heard good things about your supermarket and the quality of your products, which is why I decided to visit. Unfortunately, my first experience was not positive, and I believe it is important to bring this to your attention.
After a very long and stressful day, I went shopping at your store and filled my cart with about $150 worth of products. I expected good service, but when I went to pay, I was told that at that hour only the self-checkout was available.
This put me in a very difficult situation: I had a cart full of items and was accompanied by my two young children. Still, I had to scan and handle everything by myself, while the employee in charge simply watched without offering help. I do recognize that perhaps she was also having a hard day, and I do not wish to blame her personally. However, in that moment, a little empathy or assistance would have made a big difference. What hurt the most was seeing another customer come shortly after with a few items, and that person was checked out at the regular register.
The situation felt humiliating and unfair. Beyond the inconvenience, it left me with the impression of unequal treatment. If there is a policy that limits cashier service at certain hours, customers should be informed clearly when entering the store. That way, one can decide whether to shop or not before spending time, energy, and money only to be surprised at checkout.
I will not provide the exact date and time of my visit, as I do not want any employee to face repercussions because of this. My intention is not to harm anyone but to ask that measures be taken so other customers do not have to go through the same experience.
I truly hope my feedback helps your supermarket improve its communication and customer service. A fair, respectful, and supportive approach is what will make new customers like me want to return.
