pitiful customer service. stopped to get fish fries at 5:20 pm, guy working take out counter said he had other work to do that would keep him busy u til six pm when the take out counter closes. went back one week later to try again, five workers in deli/ take out area. two made eye contact with me but nothing mor. one worker finally came up to me to tell me the girl working take out counter is on break and no one else can help me. Tops prices are ridiculous so you think they'd try to make it up in service..... nope.

At this point I can only say terrible. I bought shells and cheese. They were beyond moldy. I contacted the store. They told me to call corporate. They said they will file a claim and their correct department for these issues will contact me. Well here we are 3 weeks in. No call or refund. I called again Monday. They told me to just wait it could take awhile. They also advised me against posting on social media.

Called ahead for 2 fish frys. My husband waited in line only to be told it was the wrong line for pick up. Goes to other line- no signs posted- and they do not have our order. Had to go back to original line and reorder. The order ahead was told 20 minutes. He was told 30 and they did not care that we had already ordered from home and they messed up. No apology. So he just left. Unbelievable! What horrible service. This Tops is the worst managed store.

This trip: moldy tomatoe in $5 pack of imported ones; bakery donut that obviously had been frozen; and spoiled turkey -as prepackaged by deli. And the 2 mini Weck rolls were stale and likely frozen n thawed...I need to drive further to the "W" grocery chain by Mall...

Good store, I wish that dashing lad Adam D still worked there. He was the light of my life and always made my shopping experience pleasant. He wasn't bad on the eyes either.

I was standing in line and an older guy was next to me and said..if there were a Wegmans a mile away, I'd never come here. That sentiment pretty much sums up my experience with this place. I live about a half mile away, and only come here because it's so close. That older guy was griping to me because it was 9 am on a Sunday, and management had 5 out of 15 registers open..people were in line at least 5 deep. Despite being out of stock for weeks of stuff like tops brand oatmeal, and bulk item bins not being filled and regularly empty, you have to watch expiration dates here like a hawk flying over a poultry farm. Always pick from the stuff at the back. Also, I don't know who the marketing genius is who decided that it's a good idea to put product and displays in a maze like order in front of aisles, but they should be forced to navigate these labyrinths they construct, when your stuck behind weekend shoppers. Other observations..how about having shelves stocked when there aren't people on top of one another trying to shop? They do all the shelf stocking when it's most busy. Horrible to try and reach behind a miserable stock person to get something. Also, the bulk item printers need to have the labels replenished more than once every few weeks. It should be done at night, every night, when you should be stocking your shelves. The empty or non working label printers are one of the worst inconveniences. Try bringing an item without a sticker up to the cash register. The cashiers all have the flip charts with the codes on them, but the attitude they give you if they have to be bothered to look the code up is priceless. I've developed a script in my head that I use now, when I'm checking out, because the printers never have labels..I just apologize and say the printer is out of labels. Then the cashier will ask for the code of the item. I say I don't know. They get mad because they have to look the item up in the flip chart. Amazing. You would think after a few times , someone would take the massive responsibility of making sure the labels never run out again..but it happens at least twice a month for me.
