I came to this general store in search of the attached sandwich shop, Tiny's Sandwich, located at the rear of the store. Currently listed hours are Thu - Sunday, 10AM - 2:30PM.
As far as the store itself, it is remarkably upscale for a town boasting a little more than a thousand people in its population. Different artisans make and sell items at the store. I saw cookies, pastries, pies, etc. on sale. It seems more targeted to the weekenders rather than the local populace.
Back to Tiny's - the sandwich I ordered was a chop cheese with all the fix in's. It certainly hit the spot as it's hard not to like a messy cheeseburger. Some of the other offerings on the menu include a bacon, egg, and cheese (BEC), a turkey club, falafel...the list goes on. Tiny (Chef Antonio Mora) knows how to make crave-able sandwiches.
If you find yourself in the tiny town of Hamden, in the heart of the Catskills, I'd recommend seeking out Hamden General Store and the accompanying sandwich shop.

Outrageously delicious eggplant parm sandwich and great Avocado sandwich with pickled veg. Yum. Pretty picnic spot out back to sit and swing in a tree. A lucky find on our road trip.

My husband and I stopped at the Hamden General Store for coffee. Sat on the pirch and had an amazing blueberry crumble with the coffee. I definitely recommend the fresh locally made pastries. Next time I'm coming earlier to make sure I get lunch at Tiny's Cafe.

Went there for the first time with my mother while on our way upstate. Very nice store. Lotta stuff you really don't get to see in NYC. A respectful, & nice employee which is a big plus. ?

Great general store with the groceries you need from cleaning supplies to baked goods to artisan cheeses. Also, do yourself a favor and get a delicious sandwich from Tiny's Sandwich (Antonio Mora) on the weekends. You can't go wrong with the turkey club fully dressed!

Walked in a 4:50 on a friday was told they are closed.Website says they are open untill 5:30 on fridayStay away city folks run this sorry excuses for a business.

incredible breads and baked goods. absolutely get the Crocodile loaf, the chocolate chip cookie, the chocolate croissant. well-curated store of local artisans, eg, jams, sauces, cheese, ointments. on state Rte 10 between Walton and Delhi.

Nice store with a variety of goods. Have been in 2x recently when going to Tiny's sandwich shop that is located in the back of the store. We purchased items from the store while waiting for our sandwiches. It saved us from having to run to a separate grocery store. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the loaf of bread we purchased was totally moldy on the bottom the day after we purchased it.

Everything about this store was wonderful! My wife and stopped in for aFalafel sandwich and it was the best falafel sandwich I’ve had in years! The store has a lot of great products including your basic items. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
