The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum contains a priceless collection relating to early aviation and local history. The museum features a 75-seat theater, large open area for special events, and a newly remodeled Museum Store. Visitors will see motorcycles, aircraft, bicycles, boats, cars, antique tools, toys, home-furnishings, and fire equipment. The Museum Restoration Shop allows visitors to talk with volunteer craftsmen and watch them work on historic aircraft. The museum is well-organized and maintained, making it a must-see for visitors in the area. Discounts are available for veterans and seniors. The museum offers an excellent documentary film, and visitors can expect to spend at least two hours exploring the exhibits. The museum's highlights include the display of the NC-4 aircraft and the ongoing restoration of a P-40 Warhawk in the back shop.
Loved this museum. Well organized and maintained. A must see if in the area. Plan on two hours with one hour to watch a documentary (also excellent). Discounts available for veterans, seniors, and more.

Used to have dust the Jenny in the Lackland AFB MUSEUM... would play Snoopy, sitting in the cockpit shooting at the Red Barron when no one was looking...
