Disgusted and disappointed! My lessons were on a monthly basis, before my last class I was informed that I had a medical condition that would not allow me to continue with any further classes until the problem was resolved. I did tell my teacher what I was going through and will not continue until I get better. Several weeks later I see that I was charged for another month of classes??? When I called, the receptionist became very angry that I didn't give her notice. They took my money without permission , they never questioned why I wasn't there to attend my lessons for several weeks. After several months of trying to get my money back, I was informed that they would allow me to attend make up classes , which I looked forward to doing. The schedule was horrible, I had a class on weekends and was scheduled two months apart. Very frustrating to learn and retain the lessons that far apart. Not cool!!! It's been a year since this began and I have had 1 lesson so far. Two of my lessons in the last two months have been canceled, moved to another time. No one contacted me. My class this past weekend was confirmed the day before only to find out that the class was moved to 3 pm not 4pm !!!! At this point all I want is my money back. This has been extremely stressful and what I have read from other reviewers,I'm not alone. My recommendation is to stay away from this school. There is many other schools and teachers who are willing to do the right thing.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff always ready to help. I love getting phone calls periodically to see how my lessons are going. It really shows they care about their students. I also love the fact that they offer makeup lessons. The teachers are all so talented and are eager to teach you in any style. I have been taking guitar lessons here for the last 5 months and I have already learned so much. I highly recommend.

Total scam of a music school. I signed my son up for a "trial" month of lessons. When I tried to cancel after 1 lesson I was told it was too late and I had to pay for a 2nd month of lessons. Absolutely horrible experience. My son hated the school and the instructor. I do not recommend this school. We were going to be on vacation for 2 of the 4 lessons during our "trial" month which I mentioned when signing up. I was told don't worry- we have plenty of options for makeups. Another total lie. We were given 1 option on a Saturday at 4pm. Or another option 2 months later, again at 4pm on a Saturday. Not what I'd call plenty of options for a make up. Our only other choice was to "donate" the lessons we would miss. This place promises the moon to get you to sign up and is a complete scam. Very poor way to run a business. Zero flexibility. Zero respect for the customer. I'm so sorry I signed up here. There are so many better options in the area where I won't feel I am being scammed and cheated.**update - the general manager called me and apologized for the ordeal and I was grateful to be given a refund and not charged for the 2nd month. After the refund was posted and confirmed, I was contacted again and asked to take my review down. I refused. I think it’s important for parents to see an honest experience. People have all different experiences that range from 1 to 5 stars. It’s always suspicious when you see only 5 star reviews.

Our daughter has been taking lessons here for about an year and a half. We probably would have continued had it not been for us moving out of state. With that in mind: our daughter has been working the last 4 months on a piano piece for the recital to be held the 2nd weekend in June. All parties knew ahead of time that May was going to be the last full month of lessons due to our moving. I was just told today May 24 that our daughter cannot participate in the recital due to the fact that she will not be enrolled as a student in June. I asked that since we are moving and thus cannot be an enrolled student for the month of June if there was something that can be done. The answer was no.So, basically, they are going to hold hostage the ability for an 8 year old child to perform a piece she has been working hard on for the cost of a months' worth of lessons that are NOT going to be used.Great customer service. Way to look out for the kids.Update: I'm going to let the owner's response speak for itself, and I stand by every word I said.

The instructor is very professional, knowledgeable and extremely patient. I like that the teacher challenges the student and facilitates progression. I appreciate the willingness of the front desk staff when emergency conflicts arise, they are very willing to try to accommodate the student. "

"Our son has had a fascination with drums and percussion instruments since he was 4 years old, but my wife and I could never find a legitimate school in the city for a beginner. Once we moved to Westchester, we knew we had to find a school that would help him channel his passion. Harrison School of Music is not only teaching my son how to play the drums, but has helped him expand his knowledge and appreciation of all types of music. The staff is so patient and friendly. His teacher has given him the confidence to try complex professional pieces, from the beginning. Our son looks forward to his classes every week and hopes to learn other instruments as well."Thank You! Harrison School of Music

My two teenage sons are very happy with their piano instructors. They've been learning piano since April 2020 at Harrison School of Music.
