Although parking is a hassle and they don’t open until 10am, they have many hard to find authentic Paraguayan frozen and fresh products which came in very handy for my daughter’s international day at school without the hassle of driving to Queens. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!!!”

“I’ve been coming here for almost twenty years. From the outside—and honestly, even from the inside—it doesn’t look especially impressive. But it’s truly a hidden gem! While they pretty much have everything you need, this isn’t where most people do their huge grocery hauls. I usually stock up on bulk basics like soda, paper products, and canned goods elsewhere. Still, I find myself at C-Town about twice a week, usually to grab what I need for dinner. Many times I walk in thinking, “What am I going to make tonight?”. It doesn’t take long to see something that inspires me. Other times I’m shopping for lunch the next day or to replenish essentials. The produce department is pretty good, though it’s not my favorite place to purchase fruit. The meat department, however, is very good and fairly priced. The deli is the real standout—it’s their shining star. They carry Boar’s Head products along with their own meats, rotisserie chickens, quiches, salads, cheeses, and truly excellent prepared foods. They even have fresh sushi made daily by someone right on site. Up front, there’s a nice selection of health and gluten-free foods, you can find popular Italian-American brand staples in the aisles. There’s also a small dessert section featuring Junior’s cheesecakes, and the bakery area is quite good too. On top of all that, the staff are genuinely nice and helpful. There is plenty of parking both in front and in the back. It’s definitely an IYKYK kind of place in town and I have a definite loyalty to it.”

“Meat market and Deli in one. I usually only frequent the deli, once in a while I'll get chicken from the meat market. It's nice having a butcher so close by. They also deliver. For the deli, I'll call in my order/s (breakfast or lunch) and it's ready in less than 10 minutes. Food is pretty good. They have pretty much everything you need. Nothing like a NY Bodega......no cat though ??”

“After looking for 'Quality Meat' at an affordable price, we Googled and found Mini's Prime Meats... This cozy meat market has fresh meats, and the kindest workers. They worked with my husband and I for a reasonable price for the holidays although at the current times-prices are extremely high... But, they were gracious enough to give us a very fair price for a family Thanksgiving roast. Plus they were detailed and gave the baking instructions on the receipt---Who does that!!! This is my new family meat market-If the prices are high--I'm certain they are the market rate, plus the service is so nice and I didn't smell meat which is a plus for a meat market... :) They not only have a new customer, they have a new generation of customers AND I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THAT'S THE GOAL FOR ANY BUSINESS!!!! One of the employees was good enough to stay until I arrived, over 20 minutes after closing. Most businesses would tell you are too late. “I found all the workers to be polite and quite accommodating. Weekends are extremely busy and one has to just jump in with the regular patrons to get your order. Weekdays are much slower. As far as cleanliness goes- it's a vivero. These are caged animals brought here for a quick slaughter. The actual slaughtering and processing of the meat is done behind the scenes.I routinely purchase goat meat. I must say the quality of the goat meat far exceeds any commercial chain supermarket. This is what makes me return again and again. There is nothing tastier than freshly slaughtered goats and poultry. In comparison- store bought meat is bland, and injected with a bunch of chemical additives designed to give the meat some taste. Salahi Vivero is the way to go!”
