“Im one who doesn't usually go out of my way to make a post about anything. But, credit should be given where credit is due. My son and I went in to the Hauppauge branch for fraudulent activity that was picked up on my son's account. It wasnt much just under $30. The branch Mgr took us to his office and treated the whole situation as if we lost thousands more. He did everything he could to resolve the situation and before we knew it the money was back in the account. He did all the leg work, and spent the time required to fix the situation. Im so glad I'm a member here and not just a number. Thank you Jose!”

“We’ve had the pleasure of working with TFCU on five loans, with our first loan handled by the incredibly knowledgeable and customer-oriented Lorna Curtin. Her kindness and wisdom were truly remarkable, making our interactions with her feel like we were working with a wise and caring grandmother.

However, our experience took a turn for the worse when we needed another loan a few years later. This time, we had to work with a different department, and unfortunately, our interactions were far from satisfactory. One representative even hung up on me, and others dropped the ball, leaving us in a precarious situation.

Feeling frustrated and disheartened, I brought my experience to Lorna’s attention. She advised me to share my story with the CEO and managers of TFCU, assuring me that they would be eager to address the issues and make amends. Reluctantly, I took the time to document and submit my experience to management.

Chris Tahmisyan, the Senior Manager of Member Experience, promptly reached out to me. He had already reviewed the recordings of my phone calls with the loan department and assured me that they would use my experience as a valuable training opportunity for that team. Additionally, he personally monitored my loan process until it was completed, ensuring that I had a positive customer experience.

Chris went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the outcome. It’s important to remember that every company has its share of bad days and individuals who may not always meet expectations. However, I was grateful to TFCU for acknowledging their shortcomings, taking steps to improve their processes, and prioritizing the positive experience of their customers.
