They don't even honor their own coupon. I have been back and forth with this "company" to have the 50 dollars THEIR coupon entitles me to removed from my bill to no avail. I was charged for the shrink wrapping which the contract clearly states is included, and best of all one of the movers scratched my floor when he was removing the refrigerator. (I am talking two long lines across the entire floor) I was told someone would come to take care of the floor and here I am almost 3 months later still waiting for the call. The moving men worked hard and most items arrived safely, but the unprofessional nature of the owner and his condescending tone when interacting with me is enough for me to have told everyone I know to NEVER use this company. He just kept putting me off and delaying the repair. Then he chastised me because I kept calling him. Consider yourself warned.

Had a leather couch and chair delivered from NY to FL. Took a couple of weeks but I understood it was a partial delivery and would take time. The delivery was phenomenal. Very polite, caring. No damage at all for carefully wrapped Recommend!

Had a great experience with Long Island Moving. Bobby was extremely professional and helpful from beginning to end. And Carlos and Tony were great too! I hate moving but I appreciate everyone's patience with my endless questions and nitpicking. Thank you!

So far a great experience. We’re moving from a small basement apartment in Ny to a house in Florida. Both Robby and another gentleman I spoke to to set everything up were very nice and walked me through the process. Just had our one bedroom apartment packed up and moved by 2 of the hardest working guys I’ve ever seen, they were fast, very friendly and took the job seriously. My only complaint is The days leading up to the move were a little quiet and more communication could have been made as far as when and what time the truck would arrive, but again that’s my only complaint. All of our furniture was wrapped up and handled professionally, I would definitely recommend these guys for your move or if I had to move again. Great family business

I booked Long Island Moving in August to move from Long Island to Florida. They told me 3-21 days. It took 5 weeks. They also charged my credit card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION 3 days before delivering my furniture. They were supposed to call me a day before delivery and they called me on a Sunday morning to deliver the same day. Also no invoice, no notice, no email, no phone calls waiting for over a month. Also they damaged items on delivery, we agreed to settle for $500 for the damages and I’m still waiting to be reimbursed on November 28. Called two weeks ago and have not received a phone call back. Probably the worst moving experience I could’ve hoped for. When I did finally get them on the phone all I hear is excuse after excuse on why they are so bad.

Pricing is a scam. Don't trust these people. I was charged more than double the quote. Not professional, and an overall horrible experience. How these people are still in business is beyond me.

My wife and I hired this moving company to move roughly 25 pieces of furniture to be stored for a few days before our home purchase was move in ready. Stay away. This was a nightmare company. There are better ones for sure. The truck that came was a different company name then who I hired. Seems that they contract out. First red flag. The company that came was "Relocator Service Inc.". We were never told a third-party would come out. We were quoted $995.00 as a base fee. Because we were only moving furniture, and no boxes, I spoke with the owner "Bobby" about how long this move should take before they came. He told me that if it was only the furniture it should not take that long, but that 4 hours plus the 1 hour driving fee was the minimum. Fast forward to move-out day and the movers took over 6 hours to move 25 pieces of furniture; no boxes. The only large pieces of furniture were a hutch, an L shaped couch and a king sized mattress. For reference, we used a prior moving company to move the year before, and they moved all our boxes, roughly 60-70, and the same amount of furniture in less than 4 hours, with travel from Nassau to Suffolk. Also nothing was damaged on our other move. This time 3 pieces of furniture were damaged, but we are so fed up with this company we are not bothering to put in a claim. Probably what they hope for with their lousy service. After speaking with Bobby at the 5 hour mark, all we were given was a run around about how every move is different and things take time to be done right. I explained to him our prior move and how it was much more furniture and boxes then this move, but he just talked over me. This place has movers milking time and doesn't care. Only one mover was actually doing any work. The other two were either on the phone, eating, talking, or smoking outside. Despite our repeated insistence that two of the three movers, who were unmasked, put one on due to COVID, they simply kept removing them. Because they wouldn't wear masks, I waited outside. When I came in periodically to check on the work, half the time two of the three movers were just sitting around. One was nearly always on his phone. One of the movers made food in our microwave despite there only being one piece of furniture left to load on the truck. When I fought them on the bill due to the excessive time they took, they tried to charge me an additional 30 minutes while the head of the crew made a call to "figure it out". When I told them the bill was still excessive, the head mover stated "well your stuff is already on the truck", essentially holding my furniture hostage. In the end, a move of 25 furniture pieces cost $2,200 to just put it in storage. Over $1,200 more than what I was quoted. To add insult to injury, even though my email quote and the company's website specifically states that, shrink wrap and covering of furniture is free, they tried to charge $241 for the materials. After refusing to pay if they did not take it off and showing both the email and contract, the $241 was removed. The mover tried to then pull a fast-one and add a half an hour of time for the time we argued over the material fees. After pointing out that he slipped it in there even though the time was because of their mistake, he told me I was wrong. Their dishonesty has no bounds. A different third party contractor came to deliver the furniture to our new house. They were night and day better than the first company. Professional, courteous, efficient. I got a chance to speak with the guy in charge of the crew and told him what it cost and how long it took for the first company LI moving and storage contracted to move us out of our 4th floor apartment. Summarily, he told me that the price and time taken were outrageous. He told me that not in his wildest dreams could he imagine, even with an elevator, that moving what was moved should have take more than 3-4 hours with a 3 man crew, with wrapping everything for protection. I took their card and next time will just call them directly to

This company seems just all around a bit of a scam. They promote being a family owned business that doesn't hire sub contractors but that's exactly what they do. For my move they subcontracted another moving company which made me nervous. This isn't a problem but you should be honest and not lie to customers so we understand what to expect. Luckily, that moving company was amazing. But I give that other company ALL of the credit.

They quoted 1/2 the price than total charge, i wasn't informed about the hidden fees, 1 hr truck travel charge, 250$ on material , 50$ on gas for less than 15 mile travel. on top of it all they charged my credit card twice. I was told they charge ~400$ initially then they take rest after move, instead initially charged 1500$. I am planning to move again in few months definitely staying away from this company.

The movers were great, no issues there. My main issue is with how our move was managed. We were told an estimate. ~$2K. We were told we would be charged half before the move and half after. We were charged the full amount before the move and then another ~$1K+ after the move. With the explanation that they had improperly estimated the weight. They were moving our stuff out of storage from which we had a complete itemized list, which we gave them to do the estimate. Not sure how they feel comfortable giving people estimates with an error of 50%+..... Based off the reviews here and on yelp it seems like this is their business model. Provide an estimate that is cheaper than other moving companies and then say their estimate was off by 50% after the fact... Really untrustworthy business.

From the consultation to the day of the move everything from long island moving and storage was phenomenal. Working with the dashing young man Robert was amazing. I have never used a moving service prior to this so I was a bit worried, but he assured me that it will be quick and painless. The movers showed up on time and moved my all my things from Long Island City to the the Upper West Side within 3 hours. They were quick, careful, and just all around nice guys. My most fragile belongings are just as perfect as they were before the move.Next time I need to move, without a doubt I am giving Long Island Movers a call

I can confirm all the one star ratings in here. I foolishly didn't look at Yelp before using this company, and was given a completely inaccurate estimate (bait) based on the weight they estimated my load to be (based on all the items I enumerated they'd be moving). The estimate specified that I'd need to pay .95 for every pound over, and given that they move large loads all the time I trusted them to accurately estimate the weight for my move. Lo and behold the actual weight ended up being 2x their estimate, and I was told I needed to agree to pay $1300+ in additional to the additional estimate in order for my goods to be taken off the moving truck. I tried to dispute this with Bobby and he was only defensive and belligerent. I feel so silly for not having looked at Yelp first which is evidently full of stories corroborating this behavior and these kinds of shady practices.

Stay away from them. I hired them to move me from Suffolk to Nassau. We agreed at under 200/hour. 5 hour min. The afternoon before, the owner called wanting to confirm and run my card for $1,000 for the job. He said if it runs over he'll take care of it after job was over. I agreed. He called me back with a different attitude. The card was declined and he tried a few times. I called my bank and they said that he tried to charge me for $1300. When it didn't go through he tried for less and less. He said unless I had another card for him to use, he would cancel the job set for the next morning. The bank said the problem was not on their end. They were right because we borrowed my mother-in-law Amex card (not associated with my bank) and that would not go through. In the end they canceled the job that was set for the next morning. I got another mover even less than him and what happened was the new mover asked for a billing zip code. Long Island movers didn't. If he entered an incorrect zip code the card will not go through he didn't ask me for a billing zip codes for any of the cards. He assumed the zip codes were for the zip we were leaving. None of the cards were tied to that zip code. I still wonder why he tried to enter card for more money than agreed upon.

My aunt was very nervous about her move from Long Island to Tarrytown, NY. She used Long Island Movers and she was thrilled because there was no stress and everything was done fast and efficient and the guys were very nice to her. I was happy for her.
