Long story short, do not give them a deposit up front. Signs By Tomorrow kept my deposit of over $6,000 after the promised work was not provided and I requested a refund. No work was done, except for a temporary banner.
We needed decals, a pylon sign, and channel lettering. We only got a temporary banner.
Their inability to provide me with the decals and pylon signs, an easy task, was the first RED FLAG. They never came within 8 weeks, which only takes about a day to do. Instead of taking responsibility as a business, they unprofessionally argued I should have persistently contacted them regarding my hours so that they could complete the decals and pylon.
Furthermore, the channel lettering was said to be installed within 6 weeks and never came as well. While I understand that channel lettering can take awhile to complete, he told me after 8 weeks into this process it could take an additional 10-12 weeks. The hyper-extended time frame, no mention of filing a permit and the manufacturing process not-yet-started were all major factors that warrant a one-star rating.
While it is understandable that the channel lettering may take time to complete, their inability to provide me with the easier, timely part of my order after ample time was concerning and made me question the integrity of their business. My skepticism was fueled when Signs By Tomorrow told me an additional 6-12 weeks for completion of my order after 8 weeks into our initial deposit.
In hindsight, the timing wasn't initially the main concern. However, it became an issue when this business failed to follow up on the easy tasks, take responsibility, and transparently communicate. More so, it was the lack of interest this company showed to get the work done. The decals for instance only took a few hours for another company to do.
After ample time and run arounds we decided to request a refund, which he refused to give.
It is severely low of Signs By Tomorrow to act in such an unprofessional manner as it can have a detrimental impact on new, developing businesses.
We'll have to make time to go to court and pursue this to the fullest extent.
