“We can’t say enough about how great this store is. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and the variety of both vintage and new gifts is spectacular. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by 2 friendly women who helped us find the perfect ideas for our home. Run don’t walk to this place!”
“I've been living in Hastings for 20 years, and this is by far my favorite shop. Fonda is an absolute gem. A gorgeous selection of vintage and antique jewelry and home decor. To anyone visiting the rivertowns or Westchester county, Surburban Renewal is an absolute must visit!
As of 2/9/24 they do not accept apple pay, bring cards or cash! Trust me, you can't walk out of this quaint little shop and not buy something. There is something for everyone!”
“This afternoon we had a nice walk in the neighborhood and found this lovely shop!!! I bought some accessories and a cute cup. Ladies there are also very lovely and helpful! Will definitely visit it again if I have the chance :)”
“I have bought furniture, pictures, clothing, etc., from Gene since the 1990s. Incredible store she has an eye for quality and reasonable prices. If you are in Nyack don’t miss this shop!!!”
“We recently purchased a mid-century wooden framed chair. Stacy is extremely kind, friendly, and professional. We really liked the style of the furniture and art in the shop, worth a look if you’re in the area.”
“It’s an antique store with a large and varied selection of decorative items. The inventory ranges from small, very specific finds such as vintage keys, jewelry, shoes, and clothing, to larger pieces like furniture, chandeliers, and garden items.
The store carries a mix of antique, Victorian, modern, and designer-style pieces. It’s a place to walk through and browse slowly, as there is a wide range of objects and furniture in different sizes and styles.”
“What a beautiful job Rob did on my Grandparents chest of drawers, approx late 1940’s, above & beyond what one could imagine, a memory that will last a lifetime”
“Last time I was here (and the first time) was about 6 years ago with my partner, we enjoyed viewing and taking photos of the Edwardian to retro american collectibles and old world European furnishings, I don’t recall us talking to anyone we simply perused the place and left, but this time I struck up a convo with Mike and he was not only friendly and laid back (unlike some stores that kinda glare at you until you buy something) but seriously helpful, considerate and patient with my questions about the prints and furniture, because there is a LOT. It’s a big place but there was something for everyone. Before leaving I asked for other nearby antique stores he’d recommend and even some must-see stops for out of town folk like myself and he was happy to share. Basically this place was the complete opposite of the stuffy, crazy expensive furniture place around the corner, can’t even remember the name of it and don’t care to, service there was the total opposite.
Absolutely worth stopping by here. I tried to get him to keep the change and he wouldn’t have it. Thanks again.”
“If you really love antique furniture and it needs to be restored and back to life, Mark is the correct person to do it. He is wonderful. Excellent professional, and he always does an incredible job. My husband and I have taken 5 pieces to him so far, and we have never been disappointed. On the contrary, we feel so lucky that we found him. We have even learned with him about antiques. We certainly recommend Mark. 10 stars!!!”
“Josh is a total professional and was extremely respectful as he sorted through our antiques and valuable collections. He seemed fair and honest and we would certainly use his services again.”
