Quick stop to pick up mosquito preventive sprays for my backyard party. Met a very knowledgeable gentleman, Angel who was introduced to me by a staff member in the floral area. Excellent advice and glad to have stumbled to this Home Depot because I had no clue what to buy.

First, I have to say - Home Depot is not my comfort zone and I am only there if I’m forced to be - and even then, I just go in and out with the bare necessities. But I just want to take a second to thank the various employees at the Hawthorne location who provided exceptional service over multiple days and with uber efficiency these last couple of days - from the people at the customer service (Jamiyla, Jelani (a supervisor), Jessica), the staff who assisted in the blinds department (Jon and his colleague), the assembly staff who put my grill together in a day, and the customer service desk staff who later got it into my van and sent me on my way after work in less than 15 mins. You were all amazing and made a hectic couple of days just so much easier than I could have imagined! Thank you!

I don't even know where to start as I feel I was completely disrespected. I'm not reviewing the actual store here but the home project renovation side. We decided to get all 4 of our closets done. The designer came in was really nice and I loved his designs. Then the sent a "measure tech" a week or so later to just retake measurements? I was never told that we needed to have everything out of our closets for this.
Once the day came to do the install my husband was home while they were working and didn't want to crowd them so of course wasn't looking over their shoulder. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was our coat closet which was the first to be completed. And immediately I could see that the rod for the hangers was placed way too close to the front of the closet so that the hanger would be sticking out and you couldn't close the door! I mean I could see that with the naked eye without a hanger even being on the rod and not being a carpenter myself. So you tell me how professionals couldn't see that? That got me extremely worried for the rest of the closets and yes it got worse. I believe they either took incorrect measurements or cut the units incorrectly OR used units from a previous job that they thought they could just stick in to our space.
1- I was never told that they wouldn't be utilizing our whole space meaning front to back depth and width. I was never told that there were only three sizes that the shelving comes in. I assumed that we were going to be using our whole space that was there. If I had known I would losing space I would have never gone ahead with the project.
2- as you will see in the pictures in the videos as soon as I came in and saw the coat closet while they were still working you can see with the naked eye even without the bar being there that the placement was off because the door wouldn't be able to close and the hanger would be sticking out that was the first sign that something was amiss and I began to worry.
3- I am not sure why they decided to cut the metal rods inside my apartment as they cut all the shelving in the hallway outside my apartment but there was metal pieces everywhere inside my apartment that I was stepping on and I actually had metal pieces in my foot. Even when he came back to fix the issue he still cut the metal rod inside my apartment again when he went to move them.
4-since the shelving was cut too short and there were huge gaps the removable shelving kept coming out and I was very worried that they were going to start falling as the space kept getting deeper and deeper. His response when he came back was well you shouldn't have gotten removable shelving then because that's what happens. I responded with no that should not happen with removable shelving as there is removable shelving in our bigger closet and that's not happening there... there is too much space. The fix for that was to slap a piece of wood in-between the unit and my wall which eventually fell.
5-and when he came back to fix it I was so upset and felt so disrespected glue everywhere on the floor all over my clothes the way he slapped that project together when he came to fix it you can tell was extremely unprofessional as you can see in the videos and the pictures. I had to pick out a clump of glue out of my dog's paw. I feel extremely disrespected and disgusted at the way my money and I were treated. After he came back to try and "fix"the issue I emailed Aldo the project coordinator. Didn't hear back from him. I received a random text from I have no idea who that now has my number asking me if the glued pieces were from linen closet? So now I have to call Aldo again to ask what's going on and he started states they there were several attempts to reach me. To which I replied "a random text from an unknown number?"
