Brings "neighborhood shop" new meaning. Always greeted with a smile and are happy to help. Brought my vehicle for an inspection today. I was told by Joe, "Sit. Enjoy your coffee. We will have you in and out." Was in and out in 20 minutes! Here's a "go to" for any car repair needs.

Joe has got a great bunch of mechanics that know what they are doing. He helped us out of a jam, and we continue to go buy gas, and take my Father in Law's car to him for repair. Highly recommended auto repair facility. They also have cheaper gas than other stations in the area.

A week ago my car started giving problems while driving north on the Taconic. I managed to make it off on exit 2 in Hawthorn. Limping we made it to NGJ auto. Within minutes Joe looked at the car told me what it was and the approximate cost. He said that the parts would be there in about an hour. Long story short , my car was repaired within 1.5 hours of pulling in. I find Joe to be friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. He literally could have raked me over the coals.Instead he had my car fixed in an emergency for a cost of $170. Including taxes and fees. Unbelievable in these days. Will highly recommend this business.Service: Engine repair

Real customer, real review.Charged over $300 for rejoining an exhaust pipe connection. Was charged $55 for an 8 inch piece of pipe. Was charged an hour and a half labor . My invoice says welded, but i just see glue, and repair has slight sag now.Warning!!! review was added after continueing to find tire inflation on NGJ serviced vehicle to have 19.5 psi on both front tires, and 39.5 psi on rear left! I have found this on several occasions! Car owner confirmed NGJ just did air again during their regular gas fiilup. These are new tires purchased and mounted by Joe's NGJ neighborhood shop.I was okay being overcharged for repair, BUT NOT OK ENDANGERING my loved ones!fmefu
