Service here is the worst. You have to chase down certain floor reps just to ask them a question. The other reps are walking or sitting down carrying on conversations and act like your inconveniencing them to ask anything. Spoke to 7 different reps and 2 more than twice just trying to get someone to cut some lumber for me. I literally timed that I waited over 30 minutes before I got feed up and ask for a manager. The manager got someone rather quickly, but the guy didn't have on any orange or display any markings that indicated he was an employee. If the manager didn't wait until he showed I would of never known he was supposed to be there to assist me. The manager even had to tell him to come to the right saw. After all that waiting and chasing down someone for help I was told they couldn't cut anything under 12 inches! There were no signs or anything to inform customers of this. Nothing! They suggested I use a hand saw, but I wasn't going to give that store or company my money after that. I will shop at Lowe's or the smaller chains from now on. The customer service here sucks! The employees are not friendly and pacify you like they are getting help, but they really don't care.

I can only speak for the Garden center at this Home Depot. But I always enjoy coming, even when it's a bit of a madhouse. Lots of interesting plants and possible to get great deals. I find the staff are really chill, helpful, and nice. The experience with the staff honestly really keeps me coming back rather than seeking out other places.

this home depot was such a pleasant surprise. i've been to the one in yonkers which is a literal trashfire nightmare so was expecting a similar experience here. not so! nice and knowledgeable employees, adequately staffed registers, and all the items i needed in stock. got some nice fall plants as a bonus. honestly still in shock because this is MILES better than the yonkers location.

If you live in a co-op, avoid buying large appliances from Home Depot! It takes forever to obtain COI and permit from Home Depot. When I called their customer service number, some associates don't know what they are doing. They called the delivery team for info, but the delivery team never respond. So my calls to the customer service number don't help at all! When I emailed them for COI, no one acknowledged receipt or respond to me, so I am totally in the dark as to whether someone will actually address my request!!! Horrible!!

Have to say, buying a grill at this location was wonderful. Mike S. and Oscar in Garden helped take apart the grill and put it in my hatch. They were really nice and knowledgeable. I was expecting the worst but ended up have a great experience with these two! Thanks guys! Love the grill.

My husband calls this the Home Depot that time forgot. Old fashioned service at its best. Every time we go it's clean, employees approach us to help us, people are friendly, and they have what we need. Today I did a return that was entirely hassle-free. The last time my husband and I went an employee spent 15 minutes with us helping us find the right-sized screw for a project. The time before an employee walked me to my destination because he wasn't 100% sure where something was and he wanted to make sure I found it. @HomeDepot corporate, if you ever read your Yelp reviews I hope you see this and give all your Hawthorne employees a raise and the managers a bonus. @Hawthorne Home Depot manager, leaving you a message with your manager on duty now...

I ordered a few things from Home Depot, medicine cabinet, faucet, and vanity with sink. I paid to have the vanity and sink delivered to the room of my choice. Came home today and found it on the lawn! No call the day before or at any point in advance AS I WAS TOLD! I PAID TO HAVE IT DELIVERED TO THE ROOM OF MY CHOICE!!!! I called and was disconnected with no call back (they knew my number via the order I was calling about). Called again spoke with a "manager". I asked what kind of customer service is this, I was supposed to be able to look for damage and the they were supposed to remove the packing...good luck... I said I have had 3 total joint replacements in the last 7 months what am supposed to do, "oh we can refund the cost for in home delvery and $20 to get someone to help you". I will never ever shop or buy at Home Depot again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...EVEN IF A 3RD PARTY WAS DELIVERING IT - YOU HOME DEPOT ARE RESPONSIBLE!!!!!!

I ordered and paid for kitchen cabinets. They told me that they would be ready in 3-4 weeks. After a week and a half in , without reason, the designer called to inform us that the order was cancelled and they would not be able to reorder.

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's b******* because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. This is a very good HD unlike the atrocity that is the Port Chester location. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable if you need help finding items. Not sure why but they eliminated the self checkouts so the lines can sometimes be long

Huge shout out to Henry Timmons in Millwork at the Hawthorne store!! He was unfailing courteous and extremely helpful! (I KNOW -such an anomaly at Home Depot!) I need a new front door and he walked me through all the steps; was very patient when I misremembered the manufacturer of the door I wanted, and explained the process of getting a quote on installation and printed me a copy of everything --AND he explained that it might be possible to have the installer build out my jamb by 1/2 inch thus saving me $300 for a custom door. THEN 2 weeks later after I got the door measured by the installer and the quote for installation AND found that somehow after a round of emails they ordered me the custom door and the installation was ~ $300 more than I had thought. Needless to say I immediately tried to contact them by phone which was a complete exercise in futility! [Just DON'T attempt to call him or ANYONE at the store --it simply doesn't work - you go around in a loop forever! ] Anyway I decided the only solution was to go back to the store and speak to them directly. AND fortunately I arrived at ~2:30pm - Henry was there (he had just come onto his shift) AND he wasn't busy!! He spent literally an hour with me going over all the charges, explaining the extra installation costs; he called the installer for me and explained that not getting the custom door would save me $300 and they agreed and explained they would just need me to get a $40 external door jamb kit. So Henry fixed my order: he removed the custom door, had me order the online standard door and gave me a bunch of discounts on the other supplies so that I ended up saving another $100! He is a prince! I have never had a nicer and more helpful interchange with a store employee! Seriously they should double his pay!! Thank you so much Henry!!

NEVER will I buy anything here again to save a few bucks! I ordered carpet for a room, was told that one of three people would come and measure, was told to take a photo of the people who would come ( they have a post of the people in the store , which I thought was a great idea ) when the person showed , he was not one of the three I had a photo of, tried calling Home Depot to verify and they couldnt so I had to send him away. Called the store later than night and Lorri from flooring rescheduled it for May 1, here we are , stayed home today and there is no one coming. Called the store who switched me around several times , disconnected me twice only to find out they have the whole order cancelled. I am furious .....
