I never feel to go back to this store ,when comparing to the the Home depot stores close to my house ,most of the staff in this place are not helpful,today I have an experience, I needed assistance with self checkout,after the machine made sounds needing help , no one came even though 2 staff was close to my checkout station. They just ignored,one came to help and when I had more questions about my gift card seemed so frustrated,again I needed help they just ignored,even though they were not doing anything. .unbelievable..these staffs should be trained to help the customers and treat them respectfully .

This morning I went to the Home Depot in Hempstead, and before buying the material I needed, I went to the bathroom, it was closed, I asked a man who worked there what the code was to enter the bathroom, he answered aggressively saying, "Do you think I'm stupid for giving you the number?" He went and opened it and came back to regret repeating himself, stupid, as if insulting me, I asked him why, he wasn't doing anything, except talking to a security guard, I spend like 400,000 dollars a year on Home Depot, other materials for my company, and it doesn't seem fair to me that a worker answers that way

Should be zero stars even negative. For someone who has been to only a few Home Depot locations, this location is by far the worst one.
Horrible staff time responses and even no staffs were on the specific departments. Even if you find someone, the staffs are so RELUCTANT to even walk with you to come see the materials you need. Do they even want to be here to work?
And then there was this random dude going around the store trying to sell solar panels and wasting people's time.

I've been shopping at Home Depot well over 25 years I was told today a wasn't able to exchange a defective item without a receipt even after showing the “store policy online” The manager Moses blew me off and said it’s the policy and “Call corporate” I preceded to go to a different location and had no issues and got it done with a smile.

I had went there looking for a specific item which I had ask a total of three cashiers about the item and what aisle it was on all three of them had no clue.

I shop at a lot of different Home Depot, but this location is not so friendly staff and half the time they are on their phones,and to add to it, there are never any carts

Manager Loretta isn't very helpful , as she doesn't know how to make decisions, asked for help and she didn't give me an answer.

The Hempstead location is better than most Home Depot stores. Disappointing that just about all of the stores are filthy. The stock on the shelves throughout the stores is covered with a layer of dirt, dust and debris. It’s also very difficult to find a representative to give locations of items and advice on your project. You are forced to wander around the aisle’s trying to find your items. They sometimes don’t know the location of items as well. Very few if any human checkers. Forced to use the self checkout. Annoying.
