I would like to recommend the Hempstead store. I was helped by a store associate named Terran. She was extremely informative, patient and helpful.

Would having given 5 stars had it not been for the amount of competition in the parking lot. There's just too many other beggars and they are cutting into my business. How can I collect enough for my drug habit when there is so much competition in this Hempstead parking lot?? Seriously, I am very good at intimidating whitey into giving me money and now I have to hustle twice as hard. It sucks! I am thinking of switching to a different Home Depot location.

The worst. Not the worst part - store is Dirty and unkept. Staff - non-existent. Walked around in few select aisles for 20 minutes - never saw a employee to help me. Asked a few JD people - they paged workers to assist me. Another 20 minutes No show. Thanks for referring me to Lowes!

Coming to get the soils for my garden when it is on sale. The garden section is great. Great variety of plants selections and plenty of supplies. The other stuff are disorganized and it is somehow hard to find things in the store.

If you're looking to be ignored by employees because they are engaged in conversation. If you're looking to experience poor treatment and attitude because you are white. If you're going to a store for the most basic items, yet they are out of stock on 60% of them. If you like buying things in a package that are missing pieces and parts. Then the Hempstead Home Depot is perfect for you.

What's the good of purchasing online, following the instructions and waiting over 30 minutes in the curbside pickup area AND YOUR THE ONLY ONE WAITING? Home Depot will eventually loose out to other stores as they are about equal to Lowes now in customer treatment and quality of service. Better off going to the local lumber yards and hardware stores than trying to shop what they call convent. I could have been inside and picked up the items and been back home already ! And the worst part? I go inside and they ASK ME to go inside the storage shelves and pull out my things from underneath after I have to get a cart! I refused and she put on a b*tch face and ended up just dragging them out and walking away, not even putting them in the cart.

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's b******* because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or something said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HOME DEPOT'S EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED FOR ANY DEFECT CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NEGLECT, ACTS OF GOD, LACK OF PRESCRIBED OR STANDARD MAINTENANCE, OR IMPROPER CARE/CLEANING. ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES PROVIDED FOR GOODS, MATERIALS, OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE PASSED THROUGH BY HOME DEPOT TO YOU, AND YOU AGREE TO LOOK SOLELY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER FOR REMEDY OF ANY DEFECT IN SUCH GOODS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT. HOME DEPOT MAY ASSIST YOU WITH WARRANTY CLAIMS AGAINST MANUFACTURERS.

Visiting another location of Home Depot made me realized how dirty and poorly ran their Hempstead, NY location is. Trying to find an employee to answer a question is a task by itself. The checkout lines are always long and at least one of the kiosks to self checkout in broken. The worst part about what is already a bad customer experience is the parking lot. I would strongly recommend to everyone that you escort your wife and/or daughters if they go there as the parking lot is filled with scary people.

DO NOT get any home improvement work done through home Depot. I ordered my counter top through them and they sent somebody to template my counter tops. We very specifically said we did not want to touch the backsplash. The person who measured the counter tops tore out my entire backsplash leaving 5 gaping holes, dangling light switches and outlets, and blew a fuse. Home Depot refused to help me at all with the matter and even had the audacity to tell me as a favor they will cover the $300 charge that they usually charge to take down backsplash which we didn't want to begin with.

BUYER BEWARE. Disgusting vile company. Do not buy any product from here. Waited months for a fridge after multiple cancellations and the fridge is 100% broken and cannot be fixed. Horrible customer service. Company only cares about itself. I have told everyone I know to not buy from Home Depot ever again.

Had to place a star but wouldn't if forced to. I ordered a snowblower on line the site said they had 12 ready to go and I paid 704 for the item. I was told I would get an email and a text within two hours that it would be ready the notification never came. I called two times to see what the story was and was given the run around the first time and told it's a 50-50 chance there would be one in the store ... and a 50-50 chance the store May be closed Tomorrow .... I asked for a refund and was told I would receive an email telling me that the money would be given back ... still waiting on the email. This service is terrible and not a great way to be doing business horrible experience.

I am a huge fan of Home Depot and this trip just made me more sure of coming here. I was hanging an electric clock in the kitchen and I had to uncover an outlet that been covered for 45 years. What a mess I found. Brough a picture to the store and within minutes and just 13 dollars later I had what I need with the proper instruction and boom... clock was hanging after just 30 minutes of making the changes. The folks I speak to are always right on the money and if they don't know the answer, they find someone who does. They always have a smile on their face (even if it's covered up with a mask) and are happy to help. Thank you to the team members here and you know I will be back.
