Westcott Beach State Park offers a lovely outdoor experience on Lake Ontario. The beach features nice sand, plenty of shade, and well-maintained bathrooms, making it a pleasant spot for visitors. There are many grills and picnic areas for outdoor dining, and a nice playground is located close to the water, ideal for children. The swimming area is small but suitable for kids, especially those who are not strong swimmers. Visitors appreciate the park's rules, which help keep the area safe and clean, although some restrictions like no ez ups or metal detectors are noted. The park also has a campground with some electric sites and several primitive options, set in a wooded area with beautiful lake views. While the campground can be busy, some sites are quiet and tucked away. The shade trees and green grass add to the relaxing atmosphere, and the park remains cooler than nearby areas on hot days. Overall, Westcott Beach State Park is a family-friendly destination with scenic views and good amenities.
It was nice and quiet at the end of May. Kids are still in school. Not a lot of campers. Windy and cool days and cold nights this time of year usually.

It was nice, pretty clean, affordable entry fee. Absolutely beautiful view of the water! Only thing I was not too fond of was marijuana being used quite openly, literally right next to children.
