Great place for shoe and leather repairs. They repaired my leather jacket that got beat up with time. After it was perfectly repaired, I gave it to my grandson. Hopefully, it will give him the same years of service it did me.

Dropped off a pair of Timberland hiking boots to have the soles replaced. Owner said that would be expensive, but he could replace just the worn heels for $30/pair. Took a bit longer than a week, but the work was excellent. Looked like the heels/soles were new! Saved a pair of boots from the garbage pile, and have my comfy boots back. Will definitely go back for more work.

Poor workmanship, worse customer relations.Once a reputable shop has gone way down hill. I’ve had the past four shoes worked on by the shop damaged and/or poorly repaired. One pair being BRAND NEW. All pairs also being designer brands and paid $300-$1200 for. I had been trying to contact the shop via email for months and got a response finally stating that he can no longer guarantee his own work.Mike is rude and denies his poor craft. He is immediately defensive upon being shown the shotty work he has done and makes excuses and denies his declining skills. He will lie about the story.I had a pair of shoes brought in to have a nonslip sole put on and the leather spot dyed. The pony fur was removed in many spots that was not asked for. The sole of the shoe was cut into when placing the nonslip. Instead of dying the shoe, he “rebuilt” it by placing rubber cement all over it. Fur damaged, sole poorly placed.Second pair was brand new in the box. Nonslip sole was asked to be put on. It was, and the original sole was cut into in many places upon doing so.Both of these pairs I brought it to the attention at pick up and I was gas light that it was all he can do and that “they’re on your shoes and no one will see.” When I showed the fur removed he said he “thought it was supposed to be like that.”Third pair, I had a strap repaired and it was shortened so much that it no longer could wrap around my foot. The staple holding it in place was obvious and the glue seeped out from the holes. I brought the show back and he attempted to repair it again and left the glue all over and placed even more. I also had a sole placed on these shoes.Fourth pair I had the heels replaced on a pair of pumps. First time wearing the pumps, the heel came right out as I was walking.Mike will fight with you instead of own his mistakes. Then he will blame it on being busy and other happenings in his life. He lies about the instances and makes up excuses. One job was asked to rush and then the poor work was blamed on the expedited work. I stated many times if it couldn’t happen no problem, just deny to do the job.I deserve compensation for the damaged shoes, and all I asked for was a refund for the poor work. I was treated like I’m some kind of scammer. He swore at me and insulted me.Do not trust Mike Fantauzzo or patronize his shop. You will be disappointed at the results of your experiences.PS, his wife is a sweetheart and tries her best to be supportive to the work. Shes not at fault for her husband’s bad attitude and skill.

Mike is the ONLY person I trust with any of my leather work. He has worked on my show English riding boots, my barn boots, saddle leathers, and more! I recently brought in a pair of DuBarry boots to be waterproofed and prepared for winter use. Mike is straight-forward, honest, and a great craftsman. His prices are fair and the work second-to-none.

Really nice people and reasonable prices. I wish younger people understood the value of a good pair of shoes.

I stopped by to drop off my shoes for repair, however it wasn't worth the money and wouldn't extend the life of the shoes significantly. I appreciated the honesty of the person who helped me, and will get a new pair instead.

When Cobblers closed at their old location, I thought they had closed for good. Much to my surprise, they had only moved!! RE-found them the other day and couldn't be happier! Great local Henrietta business!!

This was such an awesome experience! I walked in and told him I'm from out of town and my purse broke. He was kind enough to stop everything and repair my purse. He even complimented my temporary repair that I made with paperclips. Great shop!!

Mike is very skilled at his craft. He can perform magic by turning a favorite worn out pair of booties into brand new! Both Mike and his wife Jan are very nice and knowledgeable. I am very happy and highly recommend them!

I loved this place! They were fast and great with my shoes! I thought I would need a whole zipper repair, but it turned out I didn't and it was cheaper than the quote!

Excellent family operation. Quality repair and fixed my Birks so that the foot bed and sole feel like it's a brand new shoe. Think of this place before you toss that favorite pair of shoes.

I see many good reviews and a couple of reviews in the same vein as our experience. My wife, who is Korean, has 2 pairs of boots. On one she just wanted a "no slip" feature on the sole. The other, a repair to the heel. My wife went in and I sat in the car. After 1-2 minutes I could see the cobbler getting very animated with his gestures and it looked odd to me. I went in and the cobbler looked at me and then at my wife and kept saying "But you insulted me". He wanted me to hear this so he could justify his obnoxious and loud tone to my wife. My wife said "the only thing I said was it cost more to repair than the shoes cost". He wanted to charge $85 for the repair. The cobbler was still loud and repetitive with "But you insulted me" crap. Maybe he doesn't care for Asians or maybe he thinks it's ok to treat people like that. Either way we'll find someone else to take our business to.

Excellent workmanship and the prices they quote you are exactly what they charge you!
