“Country Max is such a fun and unique store. Not only does it have amazing gardening supplies and beautiful plants, but they have a retro candy and gift area, as well as snacks, drinks, clothing, footwear, and items for your pets, and unique outdoor decor. I also love checking out their live animals at the back of the store. They have all types of birds, and small lizards, and other animals. They also sell live foo for your pets and set ups and food for any new pet you take home. You really need to check out Country Max. It will be one of your new favorite stores I promise you.”

“I absolutely love the smell of this place. I know that's weird to say :) but it's so clean and organized (unlike some fish places, the floor is wet, you can't find anyone to help, etc). I went in yesterday for some springtails for my geicko enclosure, and I got immediate help, suggestions, and great conversation about animals and what would be good to use for my little friends. Would definitely recommend a look!”

They allowed us to hold the baby Amazon and I was in love. The gentleman who helped us was so knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. “Brought my dog in for a grooming and I absolutely love Jazz! She fit me in for a full groom without an appointment even though it's the holidays and I'm sure she was busy. I was a little nervous when she called and said my dog was ready early but she made him look like a cute little teddy bear!! She was quick but efficient!I will definitely be coming back regularly!”

“We came in tonight to purchase a tick remover tool because we lost ours and our dog had two ticks behind her ears. Even though she is treated because of where we live and that she plays in the woods she gets them still sometimes. The girl told us they do not carry the tick tornado anymore and showed us a spray that they had. She asked me if my dog has a tick right now and I told her yes two on her head. Immediately she offered to remove the ticks for us! She was beyond gentle with my girl even though she was nervous being in a new store, having a stranger handling her. I do not know her name she had dark hair and tattoos on her wrist/hand but thank you so much! We would have had to drive 40 more minutes to go to petco to get the tool. You were amazing!!! ❤️”

“I have always had positive experiences here. Between Shelly (Red-eared slider turtle), Rudy (parakeet), Ellie (guinea pig), & Dixie & Trixie (twin baby Robo hamsters), I'm in a pet shop at least 3 times/month. The store always seems neat and well-stocked. I have never encountered a dead anything here (not to say it dosen't happen; I've just never seen it), and the staff have always been helpful and almost always approach me to see if I need help. I rarely need to seek an employee to help me. My two Akitas, Black Lab, German Shorthair Pointer, Black Lab/Coonhound and cats have all sadly passed away, and I don't bring any of my current pets in pet stores. However, I never brought my dog(s) in the car when it was over 65° outsidr, even when the air conditioning (like here) was really good. That said, whenever I was in a Petco, both here and in Pittsburgh, on the rare occasion I brought a dog(s) with me, the staff always greeted me and my pets. I don't know if they still do, but back in the day they used to give my dogs treats at the cash register which was a nice touch. Sometimes the employees are stocking shelves, but never have I had anyone make me wait. It's so annoying when you go in a store and the employees finish what they're doing while you stand there waiting. The aisles are well-labeled and wide, there's signs on the floor where to stand, and all the employees wear masks and make sure all customers do, too. I like the current promotion, where you can buy online and pick up in store and get an extra 10% off before tax. The majority of the time my order is ready in less than an hour. They still offer curbside pick up. Just have I.D. ready. I also like that if there is 2 or 3 people in line, the cashier calls for another cashier to open. Another nice thing is the store is well- air-conditioned, and their hand sanitizer stations are always full. Also, their grooming salon is up front near the check out (no dragging your pet through the store). Finally, if you find something online, they are happy to price match it in the store. That alone always makes me happy. Well, that and good a/c.”
