They are reducing the number of self checkouts while simultaneously understaffing the manned registers.
At least one older employee thinks it's ok to start full conversations with folks trying to use the self checkout. Even going so far as to hold up a large line of people so they can show pics from their phone to random people at the self checkout.
They even let giant cartfuls go through self checkout rather than reduce it to 15 items or less to expedite the process.
You can't get down half the aisles because either vendors or their own "shoppers" with giant carts are taking up all the space.
These stores could care less about your in-store shopping experience, they just hope you'll stay longer and spend more.

Bakery hours show hrs of 7am-10pm yet the workers in that department leave at 1pm..that's insane.Very unprofessional !!

It's Walmart. All-in-one stop. There are lots of good small businesses to shop at around here. Don't spend money here unless you really have to. They fired all their cashiers and put up a bunch of self-checkouts. But hey, at least they still got a greeter ?
