“Wonderful Workers Jason and Carolin, they are the best. I find them always in a good mood. There are other workers as well just can’t remember their names. I do know if they have rude people they like everyone else it takes a few minutes to get in a better mood.”
“I had to set up general delivery at this post office as my son and I are in town working for a few months. I didn't know ahead of time it has to be authorized prior to having items or mail sent there. I had ordered a package and wasn't able to get there to pick it up for several days. Since I hadn't previously contacted the post office before the package arrived, it was returned before I could get there. I was very upset to learn they sent it back. When I learned prior arrangements needed to be made, I gave the postal worker the required information. Since then, it has been working fine. You are supposed to take in ID to pick it up, but the postal worker remembered me the next time I went to pick up something and didn't need it.So, if your going to be in town temporarily, and need to receive mail while your there, make sure you get prior authorization and give the required information. Also, I learned when I previously set up general delivery at a different post office, you need to put the street address for the post office for the shipping address. I then put "General Delivery - USPS" under the street address where the apt # goes. Hope this helps someone not go through what I did.10/4/22... I want to add that the USPS worker, Tracy, that helped me was awesome!! She helped me understand the process when I initially attempted to pick up my first pkg that had been returned despite my frustrated attitude. From the first day until we left the area, she was super helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond and I want to thank her for all her help. I wish everyone that deals with the public could be as great as she is.”
