Dr. Saslou took the time to educate us, guide us, and create a thoughtful plan that felt personal, not rushed or cookie-cutter. We followed his suggestions closely, and one month later at our follow-up, Gizmo was all in the green thriving, full of life, and surrounded by positivity.

This place is the opposite of a factory. It’s heart, soul, and real connection. My mom brings her cat here, my nephew brings his pets here, and now Dr. Saslou and the team are officially our family’s doctor. Gizmo will never forget them and neither will we. We will see you for the next check up!

“My primary vetinarian went out of business and Dr. K took over caring for my dog who has many health issues. He and his staff are great. The transition was flawless and all of my dog's health needs were met. Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. K is very knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. He does not push unnecessary procedures on you to make money. Dr. K is a great vetinarian and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area.”

I cannot recommend Dr. Penyy at The Cat Doctor highly enough! My 16-year-old Chinchilla Persian, Apple, recently had surgery, and the care we received was absolutely world-class.

What truly sets Dr. Penyy apart is her incredible heart and selflessness. I’ve seen her kneeling on the floor for a long time just to carefully remove Apple’s sutures one by one, showing zero ego. She once even accidentally bumped her head because she was focusing so intensely on examining him, yet her only concern was making sure we weren’t worried! She genuinely puts the well-being of the cats above everything else.

Despite her busy schedule, she is always responsive—answering questions late at night or on weekends with professional guidance. She remembers every detail of Apple’s health stats, which gives me so much peace of mind.

As an artist, Apple is my muse, and I picked up watercolor specifically to capture the beauty of cats. I was so moved by Dr. Penyy’s dedication that I painted a miniature watercolor of her caring for Apple. When I gave it to her, she was so surprised and called it 'so artistic'—her reaction meant the world to me.

My husband and I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing, compassionate doctor in our corner. Thank you, Dr. Penyy, for everything you do for the Apple of our eye, Apple! ??❤️

“I miss Dr.B we use to go here but unfortunately i had stopped due to him only being there 3 days a week and not every month it was hard I need a vet who is more available for my baby. But he was a great Docor I do call time to time with concerns and questions because i do still only trust him compared to these other vets I will be going back just he’s so busy he has the longest wait times and my boy can’t wait with other dogs unfortunately. But i will be seeing him soon and he is amazing with understanding the animals and the owners.”

“We find it quite challenging to adequately describe how grateful we are that Dr. Kleminger and staff, in particular Vet Tech Sydney took care of our geriatric cat Cassius. Cassius was two months old when he first saw Dr. Kleminger and he lived to the ripe old age of 19 largely in part to the exceptional care, guidance and love we received at Companions. Cassius was a strong, fighter who endured, multiple medical emergencies where we thought he might die. All through these crisis Dr. Kleminger and Sydney were there for us. We had to administer fluids and medications at home which Sydney came to our house to teach us every week for months until we learned to do it ourselves. Cassius hated the carrier, and going to the vet, however, he immediately calmed down when Dr. Kleminger would pet him and talk to him. He would fall right asleep when Sydney would hold him on his back like a baby. It was absolutely magical. We love all of the staff at Companions. The front desk staff are loving and compassionate. Thank You, thank you for all being who you are. We highly recommend Companions.”

She recently saw us through a tough time when we had to make the terrible decision to put our dogs down due to old age and illness. “These are truly some of the kindest and most caring people you’ll ever meet! Dr. Sandra Popa came highly recommended by a friend, and I now understand why. Despite being fully booked for the day, they managed to squeeze us in the same day (at 5pm!) when my grandma’s senior cat started straining in the litter box and peeing a little blood. The front desk here was so compassionate and accommodating - they understood it was urgent, while all other vets told us the earliest they could get us in was the next morning.

Dr. Popa was beyond amazing and patient. She took her time to ask questions, go over the medical history, and explain everything clearly without ever rushing. You can just tell she loves animals and puts her heart into her work. Her compassion and calm demeanor instantly put me at ease.

Their prices are also very fair, which says a lot about their values. All other places I called wanted to charge an astronomical amount. You can tell they really care about helping pets more than anything else. I’m so grateful we found Dr. Popa and her wonderful team. They truly go above and beyond, and we’ll be clients for life!!”

They do not shame- my cat is overweight and they remained focused on a plan, not on making me feel like a bad pet parent. Whats even crazier is that my cats do not fear the carrier. “My cat, Zephyr, and I are grateful beyond words!!!!! I recently moved back to NY and didn't have a regular vet setup yet when my cat required emergency dental extractions. Every other vet I called (I called many!) required multiple, costly pre-procedure visits before they would do any dental procedures. My cat was in pain with an active infection in his mouth and this was unacceptable!! Not only was Crawford Animal Hospital the most affordable, but I was able to walk in without an appointment and have his procedure done on the same day!! Dr. Josh was incredibly compassionate towards my cat's needs and my financial situation, and the staff were all so professional, friendly, and clearly love animals. The procedure itself went well and I was able to take my cat home on the same day. He recovered quickly that evening and was 100% by the following morning. I waited a couple of days to post this review in case of any adverse reactions, but I'm happy to report that were none!! Thank you so much Dr. Josh and team for your excellent veterinary care!!!”
