“Straight Tax Cleared Over $8,600 in IRS Debt !!!
I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother, Nelly Auringer, who doesn’t leave reviews but insisted I share what Straight Tax did for her.
In 2024, she walked into their office completely stressed. She had a $6,900 tax bill between federal and state because of a return that was filed incorrectly by another firm back in 2021.
Straight Tax immediately performed a full Tax Account Discovery for her and realized the return had major issues. From there, they took over a dozen calls to the IRS, pulled transcripts, explained everything to us clearly, and amended the 2021 return.
It wasn’t easy — it took 18 months of follow-up because of government shutdowns and IRS processing delays — but they never gave up.
As of January 2026, my mom’s balance is officially $0 — fully cleared.
To date, Straight Tax saved her $8,652 in IRS debt, interest, and penalties.
