I don't quite know who failed here. But we drove from northern Maine (Borderline NB) all the way to NY to pick up a loan check. The online banking let us select the branch, to send the check to. But however the branch is temporarily closed? So we arrive an hour or more opening, and wait. Its opening time we wait. PUT A NOTE ON THE DOOR SAYING your closed. We would have stopped in CT or the other branches in NY city to start. This little mess up is costing us hundreds of extra dollars, in gas, tolls, time, and accommodations. I don't really know what happened here but this is ridiculous and I have no idea how navy federal is going to make this right. It cost like $40 to cross that bridge and literally have people driving over 4 hours and hundreds of miles out the way, because, someone cant get their stuff together. Beyond disappointed. Then it wouldn't have even been that bad, if there was a note on the door and we didn't wait over an hour for the place to open. Just failed on so many levels!

Customer service- Not friendly at all, unlike the other Navy federals -I have visited to take care of errants.Will not be stopping here ever again.

I have both USAA and this bank for savings and checking. With USAA you can adjust the amount limit for ATM withdrawals, this bank only allows a $1,000.00 for everyone and every account. USAA also doesn't have atm fees, Navy Federal will take out atm fees even if you didn't check your balance or withdrawal any cash. Also the ATM at Highland Falls, the card slot is broken.

Used to be a great bank. They are refusing to help me because I am a disabled veteran. I had money stolen from a towel head on eBay. I gave Navy Federal all the information that it was fraud and a counterfeit item. I went to the company that makes the items and they gave me a letter/ email stating this item is fraud. Navy Federal won't do nothing.

I am a powersports dealer, we accept bank checks all the time. This bank issues checks that you must fill in and enter a code that they provide over the phone at the time of purchase. I have now had 3 checks bounced from them saying they cant read the checks scanned and sent from my bank. I have copies of the images, they will not let me email them. After this last experience of them bouncing the check then calling and having the only helpful person explaining how to correct it. I did as per her instructions..... Then it bounced again i called and spoke with 3 people now none explaining how we can resolve it, and even better they can ever get a manager or boss on the phone? I will find a way to hopefully get the member to resolve this(praying they do the right thing) and never accept bank checks from them again. All phone associates are polite and kind, but have 0 knowledge of how to resolve problems or know who their boss is.

The dispute department is HORRIBLE! The telephone customer service supervisors are HORRIBLE!! They do not listen to the customer nor do they care. The branch representative were trying to be helpful but that is where the buck stops.

Like every other aspect of Navy Federal... OUTSTANDING! The staff here went out of their way help me with an unusual situation involving an auto loan. When the dealership didn’t want to accept a check with the word ‘draft’ included on it, Navy Federal worked their magic to make it all happen. I very much appreciate their time and effort. This branch looks immaculate and every person I spoke with was professional and kind. I’ve been an NFCU member for over 21 years, and ditched the other bank accounts years ago when I realized NF has everything I’d ever need with the best customer service out there. Thank You!
