“I had an excellent experience with Austin Moving Company from start to finish. When I called and asked for a quote the came to check out my home and were near spot on with the amount of stuff I owned leaving little room for surprise costs. On day of pick up they were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped pack a few things that I wasn’t sure what to do with as well as protect my TVs and paintings. They also transported my fiancé’s car on the same truck as our belonging and all things were delivered to our new home safe and sound. “I called this company at the last minute for a move and what we thought would be a 2 hour move turned into a 4 hour move, mostly on our part. I'm a senior who was downsizing to a smaller place, I donated a huge amount of furniture, clothing, electronics, etc., and they took it all. It was a tremendous relief to me to see that these items would be going to help someone else in need instead of being thrown away. It was a pleasure to have this company move me. The movers were very sweet, hard working young men. Liz in the office was a pleasure to deal with and she went above and beyond for me. “Mike and his team were extremely cautious with my items, they moved my subzero fridge with no issues while other companies said they could and when it came to it, they couldn’t. When I told them what boxes were fragile glass they took extra care with them. They listened to everything I said and wanted, I could not have picked a better moving company. They also went above and beyond and put things together, made sure the wood floors wouldn’t get scuffed and moved things to specific places for me. I needed to move my parents from one assisted living facility to another in a very short time period. From the moment I spoke with June on the phone I knew I was in good hands. She genuinely cared about my situation and wanted to help out in any way possible. June set up everything, followed up, and ensured things went smoothly from start to finish.
I have to commend Bob. He came by before the move to check out the best and most efficient way to move out as the facility which is currently under construction. This blew me away because Bob did this on his own time, but it shows the care they put into each move. He wanted to make sure his team could provide the best service and even worked with the contractor to make it happen.
On Move Day the team showed up at 9:45 sharp as requested. They made quick progress with everything being moved out was professionally padded and wrapped. I knew I was in good hands with Bob, Pete, Angel, and Robert. Shout out to Pete for really making things work like putting a dresser into a closet.
The second part of the move was to bring things to the house that did not fit. Again this was done well and with kindness. The care, compassion, and personalization is unbeatable that you receive with Small Moves Long Island. This is the second time I have used them and they will be the only company I use for moves on LI. I am grateful to have found them and thank them from the bottom of my heart for making a tough situation a little easier.”

There was an issue with a part being sent (which had nothing to do with this location) and he made sure it got figured out. Then he took the time to explain the hitch, the cover and accessories I might want later. Very glad I chose to get this done here.”

“Decent place, temperature of storage area is a little warm for my liking. Returned a truck here as well was fairly painless. Good location easy to access.
Scanning your storage facility card out is weird. Scans in no problem but then when you scan out it welcomes you again. Idk we just left.”
“I rented a Penske truck at the last minute for a local move and was very pleased. Right off the bat they offered me a discount on the mileage rate without even asking and offered a truck with a lift gate, which was beyond helpful. I intially rented the truck for one day but couldn't return it in time and having the truck from Thursday to Saturday only cost $108. I highly recommend using them”

“I rented a truck to move locally. Picking up and dropping off the rental was a quick and efficient. The truck was clean and I had no issues with it. Later that evening I reviewed my emailed receipt and noticed a discrepancy with the bill. I emailed U-Haul a question and figured I’d hear back in a few days. Literally 22 minutes later I received a reply from Chris Knepp, the General Manager of this location. He took care of the issue immediately and made sure I was satisfied. Mind you this was at almost 10pm on a Saturday night. I can’t overstate how pleased I was with this level of customer service. I wouldn’t expect a reply that quickly during business hours so to have a resolution within 22 minutes on a Saturday evening is exceptional. They’ve earned my loyalty as a customer.”
