“Excellent Post Office. I’ve always loved the USPS and very happy that this town has a great one. The self-serve kiosk is a huge advantage and allows shipping and stamp purchase 24 hours, in addition to it being a nice alternative at busy times or when in a rush. It’s a dated building, but the main purpose is utility and not a beauty contest so that’s certainly no deterrent. The staff is excellent, particularly Rebecca and Robert, after Jose retired being long-standing customer-focused friendly staff member. In a small “downtown” area of the hamlet of Hopewell it’s conveniently located. Always happy coming to do business here.”

“I love this Post Office! Everyone I have ever encountered there was very kind and helpful. My kids are excited in the summer for the freezer of ice pops they offer! They really go above and beyond.”

“Went here to deliver a letter today and Paul was super friendly and patient. We eventually figured out the right address where the letter was supposed to go. Even though it’s a small post office it’s very convenient and everyone there is always super friendly.”

“This is a nice, small, old school post office with a very friendly, helpful person behind the counter. I’d rather go here than any other post office in the area. It’s closed for lunch, but other that…it’s perfect.”

“USPS in both Fishkill, Wappingers Falls and Beacon have the most, knowledgeable staff of any post office I've ever visited. They are all so friendly and helpful.”

“I had an experience today with a USPS carrier named Ash that deserves to be recognized.

I happened to be outside when she came by and asked about mail I had placed on hold for the past five days, expecting it would all be delivered today. She wasn’t aware of it at the time and explained it would likely come with my regular carrier on Monday. While I was disappointed, I understood.

What happened next completely changed my perspective.

Later that same day, on a Saturday afternoon, Ash returned on her own time to make it right. I wasn’t home, but she delivered all of my held mail and left a handwritten note that read, “Sorry, I didn’t check the hold mail, it was my mistake, so I had to fix my mistake.”

That kind of ownership is incredibly rare. No excuses, no passing it along, no waiting until Monday. She took full responsibility and went out of her way to correct it immediately.

In a world where it’s easy to do the minimum, Ash chose to go above and beyond. Her work ethic, integrity, and pride in what she does are exactly what great service is all about. She turned a small inconvenience into a memorable, positive experience.

USPS is fortunate to have someone like Ash representing them. She sets a standard that others should strive to follow.”

“Great personnel who are not grumpy when you rush in 2 minutes before closing. Small approx 8x10 foot service waiting area that is well lit, clean and cheerful. They care about keeping customers safe during the pandemic and are fast and proficient. Very welcoming and patiently helpful staff of essential workers. Makes a needed trip to the PO very pleasant.I send mail to many parts of the world and not one of this small-town post office’s staff has ever made disdainful comments about another country on my mail/package or the “funny way“ their addresses are written, like I’ve heard at larger P O stations. I love my local Post Office!”

“Love this post office. I’m always in here, sometimes I just stop in to say hello. Ashley goes above and beyond for her customers. She has fixed a few of my mistakes on packages. They get lines, but they work hard and are always pleasant. They only have two people, if they had extra help it wouldn’t get like that. Also most post offices only have two clerks. And they all get lines. This is problem with how the post office runs things , not the employees who are stuck alone at times. Give them a break.”

“I ship twice a week. Anna is very friendly and personable. I drive past the Market street location just because of how friendly the staff is at the one on route 9.”
