Today marks a month since I decided to step out of my comfort zone and join Stormborn Strength. One of the best decisions in my life and the only regret is not finding the mental strength in me to start sooner. I belong to a local gym for years, but it never made me feel as comfortable as this place. I feel welcomed by everyone who attends this gym, and the atmosphere is always positive. Our coach is knowledgeable and always ensures that each movement is correct to avoid any injuries. Members and coacher are encouraging and approachable. I hesitated to try CrossFit because of some life’s traumas that resulted in anxiety but so far these workouts are slowly beginning to heal what I thought I will never get over. Thank you Stormborn Strength!

John is a fantastic personal trainer. My son needed to prepare for high school football tryouts, so I brought him to Stormborn Strength & Fitness, where John designed a safe and effective strength training program for him. His new skills and techniques will make him a force to be reckoned with on the field and an asset to his teammates. Thank you for making a difference in my son's life and contributing to his growth and development, John! We appreciate you!!

I have taken my daughter and many teenage athletes to dozens of trainers over the years. NOTHING compares to the John and his customized training. He is professional yet has a great personality that young athletes looking to get to the next level love. I have also gone myself for personal training and can say the same. He will push and motivate you to crush your goals. His training and program directly impacts performance and endurance. What I love most about the training here is if you put the work in with John you see RESULTS.

I have had my 4 children training a with John Mcguire for at least 5 years now. Not only is he a complete gentleman but an unquestionable professional. All of my kids, 3 of which are girls, play highly competitive sports in college now at Division 1 and Division 2 levels. I have been through many instructors over the years but nothing has ever come close to level of training and the education that we have received here. I can honestly say that the work my kids have done at Stormborn played a tremendous roll in their development. I could not recommend this place enough.

This is an outstanding establishment not just a gym but a place which gives you a sense of community and purpose. John the owner/fitness coach promotes an overall healthy lifestyle by providing workouts suitable for all. Whether you prefer personal training or small group classes you won’t ever feel like a random person working out at a generic gym. You’ll also have the option to join a book club and make new found friends. Stormborn Strength is life changing & will always be part of my journey of health for a stronger, better me!

I started at this gym as a complete beginner- I didn't even know how to load a barbell! We all start somewhere!! John and his team are very observant and thorough - they are always making sure we are performing the exercises with proper technique. Each workout can be tailored to your needs - John will come up with a modification for your current state so that you can keep moving and get a workout in.John and the community at Stormborn strength are always supportive and friendly. Throughout my years here, John has helped me gain knowledge about fitness to become physically and mentally stronger, and transformed my mindset.

I have been a member of Stormborn Strength for 7 years now. John is a great Coach and very knowledgeable. I even continued taking his classes thru all 9 months of my pregnancy! He guided me thru it all with modified workouts that were tailored just for me. If you’re looking for not just your typical gym but a place where you will feel comfortable, grow strong and be confident in yourself this is the place to be, you will also meet the most amazing members that will help you along your way as well. Every work out is different and fun!

I've been going to Stormborn Strength & Fitness for about 10 years and I feel very strong and fit. The group classes are challenging but can be modified to your level. The owner/trainer John, is always monitoring your posture to ensure you are performing the movements correctly and he provides modifications and tips if you're not up to that level yet. The gym is very welcoming and friendly, more of a community than a gym- great bunch of people.

I have been a member of Stormborn strength, CrossFit gym since 2016. John’s excellent coaching has brought me to a level of fitness I never imagined I could reach. He is knowledgeable and patient he wants everyone to reach their full potential. Everyone is encouraging and fully supportive of each other. I have been a member for a little over 3 months now and I have met the most supportive and nice people. The members make you want to come all the time. John has the best strength building classes, he explains each movement and they are always different, challenging and not boring.

I am visiting my family in Queens and Just checked out Stormborn Strength and Fitness. This place has everything I needed for a good workout before the holidays. It’s super close to JFK if you are in the area.They had all the tools you would need if you just want to get a workout in or if you are more into CrossFit. Definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area ??.
