“Fantastic experience with Lucas and Ackerman’s Appliance. A true hidden gem.

I found Ackerman’s Appliance through Facebook Marketplace while searching for a Miele oven and came across a floor model at an excellent price. From my very first interaction, Lucas, the second-generation owner, was incredibly responsive, informative, and easy to communicate with. He clearly knows the appliances he sells and was happy to answer all of my questions and send additional photos so I could get a good look at the oven before making the trip.

I was coming from almost three hours away, and Lucas went above and beyond to accommodate me. He stayed open about an hour past closing so I could pick up the oven, and despite how late it was, I never once felt rushed. He took the time to walk me through the appliance, answer my questions, and even share some of the history of the store and his family.

What really impressed me happened after I left. I realized I had accidentally left behind some of the accessories that came with the oven. I called Lucas, and he kept the store open another 25 minutes so I could turn around and get them. That kind of customer service is increasingly hard to find.

The oven itself was in excellent condition, and the two-year warranty gave me additional peace of mind. I was able to thoroughly inspect the cosmetic condition before purchasing, and it was essentially perfect.

I only wish I had discovered Ackerman’s sooner, because I would have gladly purchased more of the appliances for our kitchen renovation from Lucas. If you’re looking for premium appliances, especially if you come across one of their floor models or special deals, I highly recommend giving them a call. Knowledgeable, straightforward, accommodating, and genuinely great to deal with.

“Went there with my daughter and we needed heavy things...pavers, fence panels, 4 x 4s etc. A guy named Jeff, and a helper, came quickly when called and they loaded the cart, pushed it to the next item, loaded that, pushed it outside to the fencing panels and then back in to the register! They could not have been more helpful. I really hope somebody reads this and gives Jeff a raise. He was a tall thin guy and this was a Thursday mid-day in April.”

“FIRST OFF I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME DEPOT AT ALL ..... I've been shopping at HD since it opened in Catskill . I have NEVER been spoken to in a horrible manner EVER ! the women in the garden department Kathy was beyond rude. my husband & I were having a conversation and she just assumed it was directed towards her . She embarrassed us in front of customers so bad & was so rude the lady behind us gave us her number to have her as a witness . This Kathleen practically threw my receipt at me no thank you , have a good day just complete rudeness . I will be contacting the corperate office in the morning , she needs to be fired . I'll be shopping at Lowe's from here on out & will be posting about my experience on social media and asking for everyone to share my experiece .
