Beware of the cancellation policy. Even if you cancel 5 minutes after booking, you will be changed 10% of your entire reservation, which is insane.
They also won’t let you cancel via the phone, and will tell you to send an email instead even though you’re already talking to them. Finally, when you call about the insane cancellation fee that isn’t very clearly stated on their website or confirmation email, the woman on the phone will say “go cry to your mother”. She actually said that. What the hell is wrong with this place?

Really enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it to others.
The location of the Hudson Whaler can’t be beat. It’s right in the downtown area of Hudson. Easily walkable to all of the nearby shops and restaurants. Parking was easy - there is a lot in the back that you will get a permit from at check in.
The room I had was very clean and stylishly decorated. There shower had jets included, which were quite the experience. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great - I really had a good night of sleep here.
Check in was easy - I called ahead and got there right at 7, which is when the front desk staff heads out. She was kind enough to wait a few extra minutes for me, which I appreciated. Check out was easy as well.
I only stayed one night, but I would absolutely book again without hesitation if I was returning to the area.

Adorable boutique hotel. Room was furnished beautifully. Great showers! No restaurants or bar onsite but so close to so many of both not needed.

I'm in hudson a lot and ive never stayed at the whaler before. I decided to book it on a whim. From the beginning the service was really good. Christine at the front was friendly and great to talk to and was super helpful the entire time. This place was one of the cleanest hotels i think I've ever stayed in. The beds and linens were also some of the most comfortable. I need to know what brand they were because I need to buy them. Shower pressure was also so very good. I would definitely come back and highly recommend. This hotel is in the middle of town too so close to plenty of shops.

Way better than a3 star hotel. And bargain priced during odd season I presume. Elegant, boutique entrance and public space gives way to a smallish room that is impeccably decked out. Bath was top notch. Bed was even better.

We had a wonderful time at the Hudson Whaler. The room was charming, pristine, and comfortable with an easy walk to stellar food options. The hotel's assistant manager, Kristin, was exceptionally helpful with the booking. She made a reservation for us for Feast and Floret. A great pick. We will be back.

Staff was friendly. They leave the premises at 9pm so you have to vcall if you have issues after that. The rooms are small but very nice. The rooms would be better without the mini bar and with a second night stand. One of us couldn't put our phones or laptops by the bed which is annoying. The hotel is centrally located to all things in town and we thought it was very well done and well kept.

Awesome spot. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. They pay attention to the little details. Rooms were very nice, clean, and quiet. Really appreciated how succinct all the directions/+nformation were. Perfect location to wander around downtown.

A great spot right near the center of everything! You can walk to the park, shopping, and food! This place has an elevator if you have a family member that can’t use the stairs for any reason and parking out back! Nautical themed rooms and A/C for this summertime heat and I give it a 10!

A truly welcoming and wonderful experience. Sincerely will stay here everytime we’re in the Hudson area and recommend it to all our friends and family. The building was beautiful, the rooms were exceptionally clean and above all the other amazing features of this quaint hotel was the EXCEPTIONALLY sincere and warm welcome from Kristine at check in. She was truly genuine, very kind and offered so many actually useful tips for food and fun that really met our needs and interests, based on her attentiveness to our requests. She made us feel like family and will exclusively stay here any chance we get.

Our stay at The Hudson Whaler Hotel was one of our favorite weekend getaways. The staff who helped us with our reservation (Kristine) took time to recommend dining and area outings. She was so professional and made our stay easy to navigate and extremely welcoming. Her customer concierge care was exceptional. The Hotel amenities - from the clean and spacious rooms to the warm and inviting nautical decor - stand out making The Hudson Whaler Hotel one of the finest hotels in the area. Five Star Hotel and Staff! We look forward to a return visit!
