Lari has a charming studio, an adorable dog, and a brilliant touch!! I brought my friend to her for wedding hair and makeup and she took great care to make her look even more gorgeous for her big day while using only the highest quality products! I would definitely recommend Lari for all your HMU needs!!

Let me preface this by saying I am not one to post reviews. However I do read them. That is why I feel the need to post this review.I found Lari on the internet. She's close to my area and her reviews were good enough so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did.My hair is a mess. It's thin and always ends up turning a light brassy reddish color over time. It's dry, over processed and has a lot of split ends.Lari listened to exactly what I wanted and she made my hair look healthy and amazing.I got highlights because I'm getting more grey's filtering in at 42 and I want to camouflage them while also making my hair look thicker with multidimensional color. I also got a trim.First I am happy to report she does not get happy with the scissors. My hair is damaged but it doesn't grow fast and I didn't want too much taken off. She was great about that.But here's the best part. The woman is a genius with color. My hair now has gorgeous highlights and she applied a color matching my true color to the rest of my hair so the brassy color is gone. She also explained to me why that always happened and that I should keep my hair from getting too much sun just like my shin. Etc.The products she used worked beautifully and did not smell strong and toxic like a lot of hair dyes. She gave my hair a treatment of some kind before coloring. I can't remember what it was called but it worked. My hair has never been so strong after coloring, especially lightening. I noticed less shedding afterwards. She also recommended a hair mask that works wonders.Beyond her skill, Lari is a very nice woman. Interesting and intelligent to chat with. She's well versed in much and has the cutest most well behaved little doggie you will enjoy if you're lucky enough to meet her. The place is charming and clean.Five stars. Will definitely be back.

I really wish I didn't have to write this review! I have offered Lari many opportunities to talk about this privately - but here it goes.I met with Lari for a trial session months before our wedding day and booked her right then - her calm energy was exactly what I was looking for and I loved the simple, no-fuss approach she took.5 days before the big day, she called me to explain that she had a much more profitable opportunity and would like to cancel, then called me back later that day to say that she had turned down that opportunity and would be there. I was a little surprised by this, but decided to shrug it off in the spirit of keeping things easy breezy.On the morning of our wedding she arrived completely unprepared - mumbling that she had forgotten the look we did during the trial and asked me if I could find some photos to jog her memory. She ended up doing a look so far from what we had discussed it was laughable. I am very lucky to have some rockstar friends who kept the energy light and fixed me up before we headed out the door.I should mention that we are a pretty easy going couple who intentionally tried to cut out any of the usual suspects when it comes to wedding day stress. This one really caught me off guard. It really hurt to have someone care so little about me on an otherwise dreamy day.

Got a really good cut and color from Lari at her salon in Hudson. She's a warm, empathetic stylist who really listens to her customers about what they want (and—equally important for a stylist—what they don't want!). I will be going back to see her if I'm ever visiting Hudson again!

If you're looking for a hair and makeup artist for a wedding in the Hudson Valley, Lari and her team should be at the top of your list of potential candidates. She's totally down to earth, professional, and is far more experienced than many of the other stylists I was also considering. My bridal style turned out absolutely gorgeous, and Lari gave me tons of ideas for hair products that I can use in the future.

I don't think it's a stretch at all to say Lari is one of the most talented hair and makeup artists in the Hudson Valley. She and her team are flexible, easy to be around, and were one of the best vendors at our wedding at listening to what me and my bridesmaids were asking for and responding with good questions and feedback. Truly an A+ operation.

I love Lari! We had a blast doing the hair & makeup trial, and then she did a really great job on my wedding hair and makeup on the day of. She definitely took stress out of the wedding day rather than adding to it, which I was super grateful for.
