Young men's gym? If you're under 18 you can't even go in the pool unless it's the weekend. What a joke.

The agency I've been employed with for the last 28 years held their Annual Staff Outing at this venue. Nice spacious quarters with the available usage of the Pickleball Court and two other classrooms where Yoga clsss was instructed and Meditation was held-- Really nice grounds/Plenty of available parking.

The place is very clean but getting my physical membership card set up was a hassle as the camera was often broken, and then they force you to cancel in person when they're happy to help you sign up online. When I brought up that it was ableist to force people to come in I was laughed at and told they were the easiest place to cancel. Well I guess they were sort of right, it was easy to cancel once I was there and spoke to them. They definitely offered me zero reason to stay. Won't be back and don't recommend joining unless you know you can be there in person to cancel

I love this place, although it is far from home and work. This facility can be visible from vehicles moving in regular traffic. Upon entering the parking lot, it took a moment to understand the traffic flow as there may be different options for entering the campus. Unlike the Bayshore Y, this Y has separate buildings for various activities. The main entrance was one building suited with basketball, pickle ball and gym, and other activities, even restrooms. Also, in the other building, there were Spin class cycles and boxing gym equipment. The outdoors had playgrounds for children of different ages. The staff at the door was very courteous and professional, and welcoming, which was a plus. Our membership is all LI Ys, so we will return occasionally and gladly recommend this Y.

Sufficient gym equipment, full basketball court, and several swimming pools for a good price, although a little overcrowded at times

I called to put my membership on hold during covid. When the governor lifted the mask mandate and I felt safe enough to be in the gym again i stopped by to restart my membership only to be told that they had restarted my membership 8 months earlier and had been charging my credit card all this time without notifying me . When I asked why they did not send me an email to notify me of this they said that there wasnt enough staff. When I t old them that neither me nor my husband set foot in the gym during those 8 mont hs because we believed that our membership was on hold they still refused to refund me. I will never join a Y again. Totally unprofessional unfair and inconsiderate. Shame on them.

Good community feel. I’m new to pickle ball and Pickle ball court is tough to get a spot because it is very popular. the people who play pickle ball are helpful and friendly. Facilities are comfortable and clean. Staff at front desks in both buildings are great and spend lots of effort helping everybody to ensure all your questions are answered.Ingenious placing of coloring sheets, crayons, toys and legos for kids throughout the facilities.

Stay away from this place. They will talk down to you and blame you no matter what. For those of you that are getting charged on your credit card illegally as you claim, I am sorry you are going through that and I totally feel your pain. It does not surprise me. Anyway, my dream since the 10th grade was to be an elementary school teacher because of my autism and I wanted to make the experience better for my students since I was bullied a lot in school due to Autism. As I built my experience at School Age Child Care before become a substitute teaching assistant while I commuted to college, I have caught the YMCA in a lot of corruption and turnover in management.During the COVID lockdown, I was laid off from holiday camp because non essential workers at the time were required to stay home and I missed the kids like every other teacher during that time and it was so upsetting to not be asked back because I really loved what I did. I then was looking forward to working a Pre Teen Counselor and I was supposed to meet the director at her office one day. She then takes advantage of me for leaving me a voicemail cancelling our meeting and filling the last position during my daytime job. So disappointing and hurtful that she would have to do this to me. Don't even bother wasting your money at this place.
