From the moment we walked on the property at Steamboat Landing we were greeted with such incredible kindness and hospitality! The sweet family who owns this property treats you like they already know you even if they don't. From the lovely tour of the property to helping us taking our bags to our room and asking us how we are doing every day and making sure our stay was fantastic from beginning to end! We didn't really have any expectations but whatever they may have been they were completely blown out of the water! We cannot rave about this family and beautiful spot on the lake enough! We cannot wait to come back! Thank you Ethan, Sarah and Jeff for everything! The moment we left we missed it! ??

Sarah, Jeff, and Ethan are absolutely amazing people and we love how they have kept up the historic nature of Steamboat. Happy hour is the best! You cannot go wrong here grabbing their kayaks and exploring the area. So much fun for the kids.

Just happened to pop up on Google maps, we were driving through the area and I liked the name Blue Mountain… Steam Boat landing had me intrigued, so I checked out the comments online and decided to see if they had room for the night. Ethan answered and kindly held me the deck suite 33 until we got there… WOW ? absolutely amazing, charming wee spot right on the lake. Family owned, his dad Geoff and mum Sarah and Ethan run the show impeccably. The deck suites are so original and cozy.. lots of history here, you’ll fall in love immediately as we did!! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back..

Wonderful inn on the lake. Clean, spacious, and serene. Family run business with attention to guest satisfaction. Ethan, Sarah and Jeff were friendly and extremely hospitable and we enjoyed our morning chats with them having complimentary coffee in main lodge. Plenty to explore in surrounding area to include hiking trails, museums, lake activities and more. Would recommend highly.

Blue Mountain is a wonderful little lake town full of friendly people. Steamboat Landing is a well-run family business. It’s a wonderful place to relax and when you want, canoe, kayak, or go hiking nearby. The owners are fantastic and very hospitable. We stayed in the recently remodeled Wayside cabin. Very comfortable with the AC. While not lakeside, you can sit on the porch and stare out at the lake and walk out on the dock and sit there.Great place, you won’t regret staying here. Don’t forget to bring your s’more ingredients if you like that. They make a fire most nights.

A wonderful experience! Wife and I stayed two nights (weeknights) in one of the cabins as part of a road trip to view fall foliage. The entire stay was exactly what I wanted. Rustic cabin/hotel, firepit with nightly fire, canoe for paddling around the lake, chairs to sit in on the grass and gaze out over the lake at the foliage, and so on. The Staff (family owned hotel) was super nice and very accommodating - went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, to provide directions to local restaurants, to chat, etc. So friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Small, locally run convenience store / gas station a few minutes walk away. Several restaurants in the area. Hiking trails nearby. All in all a fantastic spot for a getaway to the Adirondacks. I'd love to bring family and friends here for a few days. Highly recommended. Thanks to the Staff! Great operation you run there!

This was our second stay at Steamboat Landing and we already can't wait to visit again! We have fallen in love with all that Blue Mountain Lake has to offer, largely in part to our experience at Steamboat and the hospitality of Sarah, Jeff and Ethan. It is easy to feel like family when you are there.Accommodations are extremely comfortable, spotless and spacious. The historic charm of the building was beautifully preserved and the rooms well decorated to reflect its history. As a family that is constantly "on the go" - we could not ask for a better place to relax, reconnect, "unplug" and enjoy each other's company away from our busy lives. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and read a book, make s'mores around the fire pit and for our boys to run around and play. Our oldest son spent the weekend with his fishing pole, being taunted by the HUGE largemouth bass hanging out around their dock! The view from their property at sunset is easily one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Absolutely takes your breath away.No better place to stay in the ADK's.

This was our first time staying at Steamboat Landing and it blew away all of our expectations. We had the pleasure of staying at the Wayside Cabin, which was perfect for my husband and our baby. The cabin was spotless and every detail was carefully and thoughtfully planned out. The owners, Ethan, Jeff and Sarah were incredibly accommodating to our needs with a 4 month old baby, and made us all feel very welcomed during our stay. We enjoyed watching the sunset each night on the beautiful dock on the property, sitting by the fire at night, and exploring some of the local sights nearby during the day. Over the years we have stayed in multiple places in the ADK's and this is by far our favorite-- with the best view. We are already planning our next stay here, it truly feels like a little slice of heaven.

Very friendly owners, beautiful location. Rooms are basic but very clean and have basic supplies for cooking in.Some rooms face the road so if you are a light sleeper, make sure you check the location of the room.

Stayed here a few times. Mostly off season but still nice and warm. Accommodations are just the perfect Adirondack vibe. Nothing compares to this with location, views and price. It's a magical place. At night, it's very quiet and the lake, pristine. I was born in the Adirondacks and this spot brings me back home.

My only reluctance at reviewing this wonderful vacation spot is that there will be no room for us! The accommodations and the owners are lovely. Of course the lake, the mountains, and the town speak for themselves. Thanks for another vacation. See you next year!

It's difficult to express what a great time we had at Steamboat Landing! My husband and I took our 3-month-old daughter and 5-year-old son to Steamboat Landing for 6 nights. We stayed in Lakeside 4. It was so cozy and relaxing on the grounds with the beautiful doc and lawn. It was great fun to visit in the coffee room each morning, around the campfire most evenings, and at happy hour on Friday night :-) The owners are so friendly and committed to helping families have a memorable time together like having a scavenger hunt for the kids and even a working steamboat whistle! It was truly a special experience and we hope to go back again in years to come!
