When it comes to having a pet, a lot of things have to be considered. One of the most important is making sure the pet is going to be comfortable and and have his/her needs met.
For instance, if you live in an apartment, it's not wise to have a large dog who needs space and gets his proper exercise. Dogs are of up most concern to me. I have seen instances where I live where I feel the dog is being cheated. Keep your dog happy.
Anyways I've been considering a smaller pet. When I was a kid, I had turtles and fish. Other people have guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, corn snakes, small lizards and birds.
The other day I decided to go to Petco. A store that has quite a variety of smaller animals. There were 2 employees, gentlemen there that explained many things about smaller animals. Quite interesting.
Petco also offers foods and supplies for animals as well as pet grooming.
From fish, to birds, lizards,corn snakes, turtles etc.
If you're considering a smaller pet, I suggest you try a Petco store!

Customer service is not very good. I bought a dog food that had fungus in it. The food was 24 pounds and the supervisor gave me a 12 pound one. He should give me two. 12 poundwhich equals 24 pounds and the 12 pound bag cost me 47 dollars when I paid 58 dollars for the 24 pound bag with a 25% discount coupon

Worst store and store manager I’ve ever met…. I now drive to other stores just to avoid it. Disrespectful and unprofessional….it creates the culture with their employees there too. Big decline since he took over. He badmouthed the previous manager when I asked to speak to him. THAT right there tells you everything you need to know about him.

Looking for Fish Food. The shelves were almost bare and what was there was disorganized and difficult to find. Never found what I wanted. Took 1 cannister of something that would work but that my fish aren't used to eating. Disappointed! I'll probably skip Petco for my need and try a different pet store or large department store.

Stopped by for some fresh water fish deals. Long time Petco customer. Even longer, experienced, fish hobbyist (30 years worth). Always check my water parameter BEFORE buying. Was happy to see the 'Buy 3, get 1 free' deal on what seemed to be healthy, happy Mollies. PROBLEM: salesperson seemed distracted and uninterested in me as a customer. The way he netted the 4 Mollies, was close to brutal. Next day, one fatality. Can't prove anything, but am convinced
