View and atmosphere is quite nice and the service is good too. The food is Fine but nothing to write home about With a fairly narrow range of choices on the menu and a little on the expensive side because you’re paying for the view.

Made reservations with a group of over 10 here for a special occasion. Positives: the place is beautiful, right by the water, a whole wall is windows so that’s beautiful. The food was very good I enjoyed it and the drinks. However, hopefully they can work on there skills in reserving for larger parties. The nice thing is they will print a custom menu for you. The person who reserves for the group had so many communications with me regarding something very simple which is just reserving a table for us. They require for you to choose items from the menu so you have a limited menu for a larger group which doesn’t seem right, other places do not do things that way, they’ll either do a pre fixe or allow you to order from there normal menu. I got so many phone calls and emails regarding the reservation I thought everything would be amazing in terms of service because of that. Unfortunately we were missing a place setting for a guest and chair, so when we pulled one up for her after she arrived from over two hours away and made the effort to come in bad weather, the manager came and announced to the table that we needed to keep a space open for the servers to serve the food. The waiters didn’t tell us anything, the manager did. And very sadly the person who was the guest of honor was in such an awkward way asked to move over. When the manager came I thought he was going to ask us how our food was and if we were having a good time. No, he just announced that we were sitting wrong basically for the servers, when I have countless emails indicating the amount of guests we would be and when I saw an extra guest was coming I called the restaurant an hour and a half ahead of time to let them know, as requested by the person booking our reservation. And yet we were missing a seat and tried to make our guest who was last not feel unwelcome by pulling up a seat for her ourselves. Also, when we arrived there was no other guests in the restaurant, we were the first ones so it wasn’t like they were busy and forgot to put an extra seat. The person who made our reservation also change the time of our reservation without asking me from 5:00 to 4:30 in case they had another reservation at 7. I thought that was a bit unprofessional and it was a big turn off for me, I had to tell my guests after the fact that our dinner reservation would be at 4:30 instead of 5. This place has potential. I can see how maybe for just two people or a much smaller group this would be a nice option for brunch or dinner. But for a larger group, even booking way ahead of time, I do not recommend.

Family and friends hosted my bachelorette party here .The food was great and so was the price. Not expensive at all. Perfect in that aspect!Out All my years of existence I’ve never been ask by a manager to remove myself from where I was sitting due to staff ( waiters ) not being able to past food or drinks. If it was a problem where I was sitting, I was shocked that the waiters never told me in advance that it was an issue but instead call the manager to let me know where I was sitting was an inconvenience for staff. They even gave the person organizing this dinner a hard time booking. I do not recommend anyone booking this place for a big dinner party.

I came here to enjoy a late lunch with two of my buddies, soaking up the great weather we've been having while indulging in some delicious food and drinks with the amazing view of the Hudson. Seriously, what an incredible view!Upon arrival, two of us were present, so we opted for seats at the bar where we were warmly greeted by a lovely young lady named Becky. She provided us with menus and recommended her favorite drinks, including a passion fruit margarita concoction which, although a bit sour for my liking, was very delicious. It's worth noting that from 3PM to 4PM, the restaurant transitions from lunch to dinner, so only bar seating and drinks are available during this time. I found it refreshing that Becky, who I assume is a manager, jumped into the role of bartender/greeter/waiter/busgirl. Props to you, Becky (no, I don't know Becky). At 4 PM, when our third buddy didn't arrive, Nate the Bartender (great vibes) took over and gave us a rundown of his favorite eats and the specials for the day. We decided to move outside to catch the last bit of sun, and it was the perfect decision. Our waiter, Mike, was fantastic and always willing to assist. We ordered appetizers, including the Salmon/Avocado Crostini dish and the Moules Frites (mussels and fries) special, both of which were excellent. Becky circled back to greet us again and provided some bread, ensuring everything was to our liking. When our last buddy arrived, we ordered a bottle of Lambrusco, which paired perfectly with our entrees. My buddy opted for the Double Cut Pork Chop with apple glaze and bacon (highly recommend), while my other buddy ordered the Pan-Seared Branzino over broccoli rabe(very well made and nice presentation.) I went for the Ribeye cooked medium with garlic butter and frites, which was bursting with flavor. Now, let's talk about a couple of things that could be tweaked. The Espresso Martini arrived without the customary three beans (don't deprive me of health, wealth, and happiness!). Additionally, although my steak was flavorful, it was slightly overcooked. I mentioned this to the waiter, who offered to take it back, but I decided to keep it as it was still good.Overall, if the food and customer service remain consistent here, I plan on spending many spring and summer days enjoying this spot.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, which is why we wanted to reserve a large table for 16 people in the private dining space for Sunday brunch for a special occasion. We were flexible with dates and offered three options that would work for us. The private event manager was unresponsive and after we reached out multiple times, she said they’d love to host our event, but couldn’t commit just in case they got a “restaurant buy out” (aka a better offer). She said she’d get back to us, but never did. We needed a commitment in order to mail invitations and so our out of town guests could make travel arrangements. Ultimately, we made an alternate plan elsewhere. After being loyal customers for years, this situation left us feeling undervalued and as though our business wasn’t appreciated.

Good food, nicely served, attentive staff, great place....the only thing they could think about is to bring some wipes to rince your fingers when you're done eating mussels.I cannot wait to go back on a sunny warm day to eat on the terrace

Excellent choice for apéro/early supper at sunset at the picnic tables outside on an unseasonably warm afternoon.

We ate at Red Hat years ago and had an unpleasant experience. Yesterday we decided to try it again. My husband ordered the crab cake sandwich and was ill during the night with diarrhea. I had a burger and requested no salt or pepper with sauce on the side. The burger came with sauce on the burger which I scrapped off but had stomach pains all day today. The dinning room was very noisy and service was uneven.Be careful what you order!!

I have been here many times for food and special occasions, and love it. Beautiful space but they take the public space near the river which seems odd and wonder if they have permission. Service unfortunately is not the best. Hope they can do better it is a shame.

Everything about Red Hat is special except the prices, especially for drinks. If only the restaurant offered one or two affordable options for beer or a glass of wine for less than $16! I ordered a lite beer (which I don't particularly like) just to avoid sticker shock.

We very much enjoyed the Hanger Steak Frites special for Sunday brunch. Also enjoyed nice cocktails that bartender Anthony prepared for us. Definitely would like to go back and enjoy Sunday brunch again soon.

The food and drinks at Red Hat were amazing as usual! I've frequented Red Hat many times, but this was my friend's first time and she loved it! Additionally, our serves was friendly, helpful, and expedient. Thanks so much! Looking forward to dining there again soon!

Delicious dishes and great cocktails are supported by attentive service. Meals are well portioned so you can enjoy shared appetizers, a salad and tasty entre. The double pork chop and branzino were excellent choices. Perfect spot for date night but expect a hefty bill at the end of the night.
