“We had not moved for over 26 years and suddenly were faced with moving across the country. I was a little nervous because we had a bad experience before and now, I am disabled, and would not only need movers to move boxes and furniture, but to do the actual packing for me.
I interviewed three separate companies. Josh G. was the representative for College Hunks. Josh was fantastic. Like the others, he had me walk him around to show him what we were taking and what we weren't. I was very surprised when Josh picked up on things that the other two hadn't. I knew College Hunks were good for local moves, but had not heard anything about them doing cross country. Josh gave me information and details that the other two companies never mentioned. After doing a bit more research, we went ahead with College Hunks.
Josh stayed in touch throughout the lead up. Other members of the Long Island team would call to keep me updated as the date got closer. Josh also visited again with the head of our moving team - Chris C. to go over what we were bringing and any concerns I wanted to address. I cannot say enough good things about Chris and his team. When Chris learned about my prior bad experience, he went above and beyond to make sure everything went right. From the smallest inexpensive item to our most delicate pieces, everything was packed with such care and consideration. I couldn't believe that Chris noticed I had our music and DVD collection in ABC order. They did their best to keep it the way I had it and labeled each box with the exact letter range that was inside. Each area of my old home had a color tape label so I knew where to put them when the boxes arrived. In addition, each box was labeled with a bit more detail about what items were inside.
They packed the truck so well, you would think they knew the spacing down to the inch to fit everything so well. Chris stayed in touch with me during the process of my items being shipped. They arrived exactly when we were told and placed everything with care. Again, even my most delicate pieces arrived completely unharmed. Days later, Chris reached out to me to make sure everything was still to my satisfaction.
With the stress of moving across country after being lifelong New Yorkers, College Hunks really took care of us. I wholeheartedly recommend them for your move, whether local or across the country like us.”

“Everything that was promised was delivered. I had 3 trucks - all were delivered and picked up on time. Trucks were clean and functional. Everyone at U-Pack including the drivers) was courteous and professional. I hired some guys to help pack and unpack. Trucks were packed tight to minimize damage. Out of three trucks, only damage was leg on one table (that we had put at the bottom and put too much weight on). We had been quoted $35k to move. This was a way more affordable (but more work) option. This would always be my first choice.”

In which it did help a lot with some of the things I had that needed to be moved.
