It was my first and last time filling a prescription here. The pharmacy staff here were very rude. They speak over you and cut you off while you’re in the middle of answering their questions. When a person isn’t feeling well, pharmacy staff should have more patience and compassion and listen thoroughly. If you don’t like your job, please quit so that someone else with a better attitude can fill your position.

I don’t post reviews but they will lie and decide if your allowed to have your prescriptions based on a pharmacist review of your doctors medical decisions. It’s unsafe and I know someone that ended up waiting a week for them to fill a script and ended up in the hospital. It’s dangerous

I'm not one to typically comment or review anything, but this Walgreens pharmacy has provided such consistently poor service that I feel compelled to share my experience. Whenever I call to check on the status of my order, they tell me it's ready for pickup. However, when I arrive at the store, they inform me that it's actually not ready, and they “don’t know why someone would tell me it was ready” (their words). When I ask when the order will be ready, they say “don't know.” This has happened to me on NUMEROUS occasions, which is why I call ahead before going to the store - only to be told again on the phone that the order is ready, when it inevitably is not when I arrive to pick it up.
I finally decided to switch pharmacies because I couldn't tolerate the ongoing frustration anymore. I had cancelled my prescriptions at the Walgreens and transferred everything to a new pharmacy. However, the new pharmacy informed me that the cancellation request had not been completed, and my prescription was showing in their system as still active at the Walgreens in Islandia. So, I called the Walgreens pharmacy to confirm the cancellation. The employee who answered the call was extremely rude, told me “yea i cancelled this already” and didn’t even ask what prescription I was cancelling, and abruptly hung up on me. This was the last straw that prompted me to leave this review.
I understand that customer service workers can have bad days, and I always make an effort to be polite, having been in their shoes myself for years. However, the level of unprofessionalism I've experienced at this Walgreens is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I hope this feedback helps the store improve its operations and customer service

The pharmacy is unprofessional and they simply don’t care about the customers. I had my doctor send my prescription to this location. When I called to check on the order they said my insurance is not accepted here. A courtesy call letting me know my prescription was not being accepted would have been nice. When I asked if they can transfer my prescription to another pharmacy ( which they are able to do) they refused. Never going back here again!

safe is unhelpful and never seems happy to help. i had to print a picture the other night and as me and my daughter walk in all staff gave us dirty looks and didn’t want to help us. he needed help printing a label and I got a notification that my picture was printed but it never was. Staff was also cursing about other customers in front of my 5 year old daughter.

I've gone to this store for years, also using the pharmacy for years. This store has gone way down. Most of management seems miserable & unhelpful, especially the older woman with long hair. I know prices have gone up, but everything in the store has doubled in price! A small bottle of listerene was $4,99, it's now $10. Target is a better store with prices $2 to $4 cheaper.I suggest Stay away!!

The associate Margaret went above and beyond for me. Low-key restored my faith for people at that pharmacy, if it was up to me I'll make her employee of the year and give her a raise. Truly amazing person.

I had a poor experience with this location. I looked for an item myself could not find it I went to ask a manager, she told me the aisle number. I asked if she could look up the skew to check if in stock she said if you don’t see it it’s not there. She did not even bother to help me look for it she just said you can call somewhere else and refused to help look herself and to call another location instead. Very poor and unsatisfied experience.

They don't have the second dosage for Covid vaccine. They won't call you ahead of time to inform you. They'll lie and say another walgreens has it and "will honor your appointment" but they won't. You have to make a new appointment at the other walgreens.

A bit odd that when I submitted a photo request it was cancelled and pick up was changed to 24 hours...maybe not the best location when you're in a pinch!
