The vehicle was dirty as it wasn't cleaned from months and when I talked about it to the front desk executive she told me to wait as she wanted to deal with the customers standing in the line first and then go get my car washed, to do all these she was asking about an hour, refused to give me replacement either and since I was getting late for my long road trip I had no other option but to stick to the dirty car.

This location has friendly staff and nice, clean cars.. just like all of the other Avis locations I have been to. Also, they have never cancelled my reservation at the moment I tried to pick up the car, like Enterprise has a habit of doing.

Returned my car, never got a receipt, can't get a hold of the location, worst experience from this Avis location. Is there a number I can use to reach out to this location because the number they provided doesn't work?!?!?!?

Rented an 11-passenger van months ahead (to transport a wedding party). Got the rental, and it was a 7-passenger Yukon Denali. The person at the counter said, "we never get 11 passenger vans here." The rental person was totally unhelpful. She said they usually call people in advance to warn them, but for some reason, they didn’t call us. She said they'd be glad to rent us a second Yukon (at full cost to US!). After we expressed our dissatisfaction, she said she could check Elmira or Syracuse and we could drive there to exchange it. After calling, no passenger vans were available. They charged us over $1900.00 for a week long rental that we couldn't even use for the wedding. We ended up getting an ACTUAL 11 person van from Enterprise and our Avis rental sat in the driveway all week. I will never recommend Avis to anyone!

Had a very good experience. Quick, friendly service (very casual, no company shirt or name tags). Easiest pickup and return I have ever had. Vehicle looked and functioned fine.

I’m not sure what bright person at corporate implemented that license scanner but it needs to be fixed. It literally denied my license saying it was invalid. When I called the NY state DMV and had them tell the the Avis rep that my license was active she was still unable to give me the car and I essentially wasted 45 min of being on hold thinking there was an issue with my license. Luckily Hertz was able to help and they’re license check was completely fine.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and to file a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional and unfair treatment I experienced during my recent car rental with your company. I am disappointed by the lack of transparency, excessive charges, and the poor customer service that I encountered.On May-09, I rented a car from your company without being properly informed about the fuel policy. I was only made aware of the fuel charges when I was informed that if the car was not returned with a full tank, I would be charged $9.79 per gallon, while the market price is significantly lower at $3.3 per gallon. This information was not provided to me at the time of the rental agreement.When I requested a car exchange, I asked the rental agent to inspect the fuel level. However, instead of informing me about any additional charges, the agent proceeded to charge my card without prior consent, claiming that I owed $108.66 for half a tank of fuel. When I questioned why I was not informed of this charge beforehand, the response I received was that the card had already been charged and there was nothing they could do about it.I emphasized that they had an obligation to inform me of any charges before processing them. However, the agent dismissed my concerns and stated that it was not their responsibility to inform me. The agent even went so far as to call their supervisor and ask, "I do not have the responsibility to tell the customer he needs to fill the tank before bringing back the car, right?" After that, they ignored me and advised me to contact customer service to file a complaint, implying that the charges were final and they would not be refunded.This entire incident left me feeling frustrated and mistreated. I was left standing alone without any resolution or appropriate assistance. As a customer, I believe I have the right to fair and transparent information regarding any additional charges and the right to be treated with respect and courtesy. It is unacceptable for Avis Car Rental to disregard these basic principles of customer service.I am hereby requesting the following actions to address this complaint:1. A thorough investigation into the incident, including reviewing the recorded conversations and verifying the details of the rental transaction.2. A refund of the unjustified fuel charges of $108.66, as I was not informed about these charges in advance.3. A formal apology for the inconvenience, poor treatment, and lack of transparency.4. Reevaluation of your customer service procedures to ensure that customers are provided with accurate and comprehensive information regarding any additional charges.I trust that Avis Car Rental values its customers and takes such matters seriously. Once again Avis should be better than this. Underperformance staff, over inflated tire pressure, bad customer service, overcharging for extra fuel, wasted time at the counter, and being lied to by a representative, are all unacceptable.Overinflated tire pressure is not only a safety hazard, but it can also cause damage to the vehicle and negatively impact fuel efficiency. It's important for rental car companies to properly maintain their vehicles to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.In addition, bad customer service can make the rental process frustrating and stressful. Rental car companies should prioritize providing clear and helpful information to customers, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.Overcharging for extra fuel is absurd when I have notify at the counter that the car is not full in the beginning. It's important for companies to be transparent about their fuel policies and charges to avoid any misunderstandings.Wasted time at the counter is also frustrating, especially when you're trying to get to the plane. Rental car companies should aim to streamline the rental process as much as possible to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for their customers.Lastly, being lied to by a representative is completely unacceptable and can significantly impact a customer's trust and confidence in the rental company. Avis should hold their representatives accountable for providing accurate and honest information to customers at all times.Overall, it's important for rental car companies to prioritize customer satisfaction and safety by properly maintaining their vehicles, providing clear and helpful information, streamlining the rental process, and ensuring their representatives are truthful and accountable.Lastly, the E-receipt is not accessible, which is a transparency issue.

Update March 17 2023,Till this day AVIS has not compensate anything other than thank you for your comment. There is no compensation or coupons or even refund. Air for tires is not free through out the US.It is unacceptable for a rental car company like AVIS to provide poor quality vehicles and services to its customers. Customers expect a clean and well-maintained vehicle when they rent from a reputable company, and when the car is dirty or has leaking tires, it not only wastes their time and resources but also puts their safety at risk. Additionally, poor customer service can further exacerbate the situation and leave customers feeling neglected and frustrated.As a customer, I would expect AVIS to prioritize the safety and satisfaction of their customers by providing well-maintained vehicles, prompt and helpful customer service, and fair pricing. Any lapses in these areas can lead to a negative impression of the company and damage its reputation. It is important for AVIS to take customer complaints seriously and take steps to improve their services to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.In conclusion, poor quality rental car companies should be held accountable for providing substandard vehicles and services to their customers. Customers should have the confidence to rent from a rental car company knowing that they will receive a clean, well-maintained vehicle and helpful customer service. Bob the manager is extremely unaccommodating and frustrating to work with. He does not treat you like a valued customer. I've never tried the other rental companies, but anything else is better than Avis Rental and Bob.

Was supposed to be able to pick my vehicle up after hours with a code texted to my phone for a lockbox. I never received a code and had to walk to the nearest hotel to stay the night since I had nowhere else to go and no way to get anywhere.

Car rental experience was satisfactory but the vehicle smelled like a barn. Dust was everywhere. This Suburu must have been used ti move horse manure and wasn't cleaned properly. I have never experienced this low level of cleanliness w Avis. Double check vehicle before you leave lot.
