I have visited more than three eye clinics in Ithaca, and I am confident that Dr. Smith is the best. He is patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. It is a great pleasure to be his patient. Cindy is also very kind and caring.
Over my year-long experience with Clarity, I have encountered only one minor issue: they occasionally miss updating patients about contact lens orders. Once, I waited nearly two months for my lenses and discovered, after calling, that they had arrived over a month earlier. I am sure this was an oversight, and I am confident they will improve their process in the future.

Dr Smith is a great guy. I think I had even better, faster treatment here than at Clarity's other location, and that one wasn't bad either. The optician has a very no-nonsense attitude, but that's probably for your own good -- gotta know what you're buying.

The entire staff are great, friendly and knowledgable. Cindy and Dawn are fantastic. Dr. Smith is personable and very patient. Even when he has to ask "1 or 2" four or five times. ha ha ha
Also convenient to have two locations.

I have a strong prescription and need eye glasses with temples long enough to not allow my glasses to fall down my nose, but small enough to look right and take my prescription. This is not an easy thing to find. I’ve been on the hunt for such glasses in Ithaca, surrounding Ithaca, and even going to NYC looking because I was desperate. After explaining to Dawn what I was looking for, she told me to let her her get some things in and she’d get back to me in a week or two. I had a trip to NYC, so I looked while there and found very expensive frames that were ok, but not exactly what I wanted. I at least had a plan B, even if they didn’t light my world on fire. Dawn was to her word and a tray of glasses that I could choose from. There frames suited my needs and two pair looked great in me. I was over the moon, I’d have stylish glasses that I didn’t have to push up constantly. I was able to get an eye exam quickly and loved seeing the photo if the inside of my eye. Dr. Smith let me ask all the questions I needed and told me how to take care of my dry eyes better. My frames were sent out to get the lenses needed with a company that specializes in high index lenses. The completed frames came back a few weeks later and look awesome! You can see my blue eyes. I’m even over the moon with my reading glasses! Thank you Dawn and Dr. Smith! I’ll be back as will my family!

I went there with my broken eyeglass frame which has made my life miserable from the past week. Other shops could not help me. So I’ve been managing with contact lenses which are not really comfortable for daylong wearing. The optician at Clarity fixed my frame temporarily for me with a smile and no charge. Now I can wait until I get an eye exam appointment and then order new glasses.

Best eye exam I've ever had. The doctor and technicians were thorough and answered all my questions. The optometrist showed me the frames in my budget and gave great advice on what I should be looking for in the different pairs and styles.
